¿Marionette?

charlie subsists entirely on hate for william and grown men who look and act like him and I love her for that

the marionette was originally created by henry for the purpose of keeping track of any children and maintaining their safety (sorry but I personally hate the theory that it was made to only protect charlie that’s weird).

its system of protection is similar to those bracelets a kid would get at an actual party place. usually kids coming and going at certain times to certain parties/events had colored bracelets that corresponded to said party/event.

for example, if a group of unsupervised kids came in at 1 for the same party, then the marionette was to monitor them and would be able to pick them out thanks to the pink bracelets they all shared.

charlie and sammy were special cases, though, what with their father bringing them in while he worked and then later closing things up and taking them home with him if they weren’t with friends. they had special green bracelets which they usually wore 24/7.

the marionette itself didn’t have much of a personality outside of “protect children”. it didn’t even have its own voice. the most it did other than travel around on the building on its track was pass out gifts from time to time.

kids were often scared by it and would go out of their way to sabotage it and keep it from doing its job.

charlie’s soul drastically altered the puppet in terms of what it was capable of. she’s far more ghostly than the other animatronics, even having abilities that defy physics. things like making things move without the need of her body and being able to float.

there’s also the obvious ability of transferring(?) remnant. well it’s less of a transfer and more of an activation?? she was the main cause of the robots’ sentience, as much as william would like to think him stuffing dead bodies into suits was the cause. I mean he kinda played a role?? but all he did was trap the souls in the suits by doing that, pissing them off even more

charlie possessing the marionette was also how william discovered the concept of remnant as a whole. as she soon as she was capable of moving her limbs and shit she immediately went after him while he was staying late one night

turns out electric shocks from a measly taser are enough to disable the robots :/
