it makes me sooooo mad when ppl see the floods in texas and are like “climate change!!” when that’s maybe like. 10% of the issue there

i said this last year too—flash floods are KNOWN to happen all over the hill country. there are records of this dating from before the 1800s. you can look at the fucking rivers and SEE where previous floods ripped away the limestone. yes, climate change has a hand in the la niña pattern that brought this rain to texas, but we’ve been getting that sort of rain for centuries!!!!

that area of tx gets the same amount of rain as seattle washington, it just comes down all at once instead of being constant.

its a complex problem with city and state governments wanting money more than they want people to be safe—even WV has the warning and watch systems in place to communicate to ppl near rivers. it’s people not being educated on flood plains, flash flood patterns, not understanding why they shouldn’t build on the fucking river. it’s people’s purposeful ignorance of history and actual, observed weather patterns.

Denial first 20lbs: if I suck it in and wear my sweater you can hardly notice it. Plus it's just water weight it'll be gone soon enough right?

Bargaining +50lbs: If I eat this doughnut now I can work off it in the next few days. I can totally have enough self control to just have one. (They ate the whole pack)

Anger +80lbs: I can't believe I've been so naive! What kind of sane person eats a whole double burger meal and is still hungry!?! No wonder none of cute jeans fit my sweat pants are even getting tight to! (They stress ate a whole of tub of ice cream)

Depression +100lbs: Ugh none of old clothes fit i had to buy a whole new wardrobe. Their all so frumpy and tacky too i miss my old skinny self.

Acceptance +120lbs: Well I'm not getting any thinner and working out is to tiring but I'm glad I found that plus size store I finally have nice clothes! And besides lifts up shirt and squeezes their belly all this extra weight isn't so bad it actually feels nice!

Hey if your gainer looking to keep their flexibility and endurance up while you gain i have some advice for you!

Resistance bands they can help strengthen and keep your limbs young and pry with not much effort. Same with swimming it's easier on your joints and helps build muscles. Yoga is an excellent choice too sure it's more strenuous then the others but it'll keep you in great shape and keep your chubby legs mobile.

Or you could just cave in and get that mobility scooter it's not like you'll be losing any weight tubby 😗
