I'm so tired of living this way (â girl that will never do anything to change her way of living because breaking the routine scares her more than anything)
she was at the club. it didnt change anything. it didnt save anyone. there were just too many forces against it. but it still matters that she was at the club.
every window should have a little cat in it for me to look at when I'm walking by.
Get your pussy up get your money up. Youâre gorgeous btw

On Friendship.
Seiichi Hayashi, from JCA Annual 5 (1984)
This is the thing about being a pedestrian tho drivers just straight up loathe your existence and act like you are somehow a problem for being a fucking pedestrian. Some cunt in a jeep almost hit me today while I was ALREADY in the crosswalk and she had a red fucking light and had the balls to scream at me. Like fucking excuse you? I don't trust any of y'all as drivers and in my world, the driver should always be at fault of hitting a pedestrian. "You walked out in front of my big truck" cool get a smaller vehicle if you can't give pedestrians the right of way.
im a firm believer in a psychological phenomenon i call Car Brain. in short, everyone in the world gets roughly 15% more evil as a baseline when behind the wheel of a car.
see, humans are very good at incorporating the tools we use into our embodied sense of self. this is really handy if you're using a handheld tool that could hurt you if you move it wrong; e.g. feeling where a saw or hammer or chisel is as an extension of your body can help keep you safe.
but that naturally gets more perilous once we're talking about a tool that weighs a thousand pounds, goes faster than basically everything alive, and ensconces you in a protective bubble the whole time. the effect, especially when you sit higher up from the road, is that you feel like a Big Animal. and you feel, for instance, like every Little Animal walking around you should be staying well away and knowing their place because how DARE they make you slow down?!
definitely doesn't help this effect that almost all american infrastructure is designed to pamper the delicate asses of motorists at the expense of all others. equally doesn't help that the average american is so bad at thinking beyond their own self even in the best case.
anyway i have no scientific qualifications or sources to cite, i just think about this precise topic a lot.
@txttletale where's the quote about car fascism
Which driver is not tempted, merely by the power of his engine, to wipe out the vermin of the street, pedestrians, children and cyclists? The movements machines demand of their users already have the violent, hard-hitting, unresting jerkiness of Fascist maltreatment. Not least to blame for the withering of experience is the fact that things, under the law of pure functionality, assume a form that limits contact with them to mere operation, and tolerates no surplus, either in freedom of conduct or in autonomy of things, which would survive as the core of experience, because it is not consumed by the moment of action.
â Theodor Adorno, Minima Moralia
in 2026 DO NOT ask yourself whether your art is GOOD
instead ask:
is it SINCERE
was it CATHARTIC
was it FUN TO MAKE
is it MADE BY ME
and don't forget to stay silly
