While Tina didn’t have any brothers (or siblings, for that matter) she considered the Lost Boys to be the equivalent in her life. They were a sort of make-shift family, weird and mismatched, but all fiercely protective of one another, and just as annoying as any real brother could be. It was all par for the course. She only wished that she could have Peter and all the Lost Boys together to help her move, and whom she could annoy incessantly with bubble wrap, but circumstances left that wish tasting very bitter in her mouth.
“Yeah, it’s close,” Tina agreed, hobbling along the path and hoping for the best. Damn her stubbornness! She would know they were on the correct street when the cracks in the sidewalk became more inconvenient to manoeuvre. “He’s your brother? Oh, that’s a shame,” Tina replied jokingly. “He painted his own face for pride and I had to fix it for him, then he insisted that he got a do-over to prove he wasn’t shit at it. Also, he’s a very dramatic drunk but you probably know that.”

Marie continued to watch her struggle, though not bothering to offer any more help as she had already been shot down once. She could understand being too proud to ask for help with something like this. While she was used to having the support of her family, she had always felt fiercely independent and enjoyed doing things for herself on her own.
When Tina joked about it being a shame that Toulouse was her brother, Marie couldn’t help laughing. Sure, she was protective of her brothers and didn’t always love it when people would poke fun, but she could tell there weren’t any mean intentions here. “Yup, that sounds like him.” She rolled her eyes. “He’s been dramatic all of his life. The alcohol only intensifies it. Just be glad he’s not your brother, or you’d have to deal with it all of the time,” she added jokingly. “I don’t know if you have any brothers, but they’re basically a handful.”
