Use Your Stash Blog Hop October 2015 - Ribbon Galore
Welcome to the October 2015 Use Your Stash Blog Hop! If you’ve come here from Shirley you’re on the right track. If you want to see the complete listing of participating blogs visit Shirley!
Since this month’s use your stash theme is Ribbon Galore, I studied my ribbon collection and decided I wanted to play with my burlap ribbon. I think it is the perfect color and texture for fall and goes nicely with the new CTMH Zoe Paper! As a result I designed this “IT’S YOUR DAY” card. In addition to using the burlap ribbon, it also uses black ribbon and hemp twine.
CTMH Paper: ZOE B&T Duos
CTMH Cardstock: Olive, Sunset, and White Daisy
CTMH Stamps: You Mean The World To Me B1467
CTMH Ink: Glacier and Sunset
CTMH Embellishments: Burlap Ribbon
CTMH Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, My Acrylix Blocks, Glue Runner, Sponge, Liquid Glass
Other: Black Ribbon, Hemp Twine, Wood Button

Use Your Stash Blog Hop September 2015 --Tool Time
Welcome to the September 2015 Use Your Stash Blog Hop! I’m the first blog this month but If you’ve come here from Wendy’s Blog, you’re on the right track! If you want to see the complete listing of participating blogs head down to the bottom of this post!
This month’s Use Your Stash theme is “Tool Time.” I grabbed my Cuddlebug Machine, and dusted it off. I pulled out my embossing folders and old scraps left over from Close To My Heart’s Expedition Scrapbooking Kit. The result was this “Love of Family” Card!
I love the dimension added by use of embossing. It also created a distressing effect on the cardstock. It created a little bit of a wrinkled look letting parts of the paper core show through.
CTMH Paper: Expedition Patterned Paper
CTMH Cardstock: Colonial White, Autumn Terracotta, and Olive
CTMH Stamps: D1506 Family Love
CTMH Ink: Autumn Terracotta and Olive
CTMH Embellishments: Black Arrow Washi Tape
CTMH Tools: Stripe Embossing Folder, Bone Folder, My Acryix Blocks, Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors, Duck Easy Stick Adhesive, 3-D Foam Tape, Sponge
Other: CuttleBug Machine

Use Your Stash Blog Hop July 2015 – Red, White, and Blue
Welcome to the July 2015 Use Your Stash Blog Hop! If you’ve come here from Wendy’s Blog, you’re on the right track. If you want to see the complete listing of participating blogs visit Shirley’s Blog.
This month’s Use Your Stash theme is patriotic “Red, White, and Blue.” I pulled out my drawer of scrap papers and sorted out the red white and blue papers. I decided to go with the scraps I had left from My Close To My Heart Dakota Paper Packet. I really love these papers but didn’t have much of the blue paisley paper left. I also used a thin piece of black ribbon I had sitting in my crafting area. The result was a thank you card with a western flair.
CTMH Paper: Dakota B&T Duos
CTMH Cardstock: Barn Red, Black, White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Black
CTMH Stamps: Casual Expressions
CTMH Ink: Barn Red
CTMH Embellishments: Bitty Opaques Pearls
CTMH Tools: Cricut Artiste Cartridge, My Acrylix Blocks, Glue Runner, 3-D Foam Tape, Bone Folder, and Piercing Tool
Bonus Photo!
Here is a look of what my scrap paper drawer looks like. It doesn’t have any organization to it. The drawer is part of The WorkBox organizing system designed by The Original ScrapBox. I never keep more scraps than will fit in the box. When it gets too full I sort through it and get rid of my smaller scraps.
All my red, white, and blue scraps are now towards the top of my drawer!

Welcome to the June 2015 Use Your Stash Blog Hop! If you’ve come here from Sharesa’s Blog, you’re on the right track. If you want to see the complete listing of participating blogs visit Paige’s Blog.
Since this month’s Use Your Stash theme is color, I decided to pull out my ShinHan markers. I really hadn’t played with markers since Close to My Heart switched to the new ShinHan brand.
I chose a quick and simple project for my first entry into the Use Your Stash Blog Hop. My project uses the Friendship Wreath found in the April 2015–August 2015 Season Expressions. I used a ShinHan marker to color in the blossoms on the wreath.
I designed this Friendship Card using the Close To My Heart Scaredy Cat Paper Packet.
CTMH Paper: Scaredy Cat B&T Duos
CTMH Cardstock: White Daisy, Thistle, and Slate
CTMH Stamps: Friendship Wreath
CTMH Ink: Black, Thistle
CTMH Embellishments: Thistle Diagonal Stripped Ribbon
CTMH Tools: My Acrylix Blocks, Glue Runner, 3-D Foam Tape, and Bone Folder.

From The Archives: Celebrate Today (Using Dakota Paper Packet)
This card was featured on my old blog back in 2013. It featured the Dakota Paper Packet which is no longer available.
“ I designed this celebration card using the Dakota paper packet from the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer Idea Book. It has a bit of a southwestern masculine feel. I plan to use it as a Father’s Day Card.”
