okay i raise (myself) this: the fic is told from gabriel’s perspective because he’s watching the scene from the akuma’s eyes. he doesn’t like marinette because adrien is fond of her and he doesn’t like it when adrien is happy.

then this girl raises a whole table and chucks it at the akuma.

gabriel chooses to re-evaluate his stance on marinette: maybe he can recruit her for his team and fire lila because damn, with her fighting for him, ladybug would never stand a chance.
