ROTC – Is It Right for You or Not?

The ROTC stands for Reserve Officers' Training Corps. It is a group of college and university-based officer training programs for training commissioned officers that provides a unique opportunity for students that are interested in serving their country as well as completing a four-year college degree. Cadets are not only eligible for generous scholarship opportunities but are guaranteed a job in the military after their graduation.

For students that attend college through ROTC programs will learn leadership and team-building skills that is necessary to conduct missions and take command as officers in their respective military branches in the future. They’ll also have to pass regular physical fitness exams and train with peers in “PT” sessions. After commissioning it is when they decide on a career field and begin training for specific jobs. Greatly to know that ROTC has been giving a lot great support to each student especially to those who are needy of joining ROTC, which is us the students.

Are you not sure if the ROTC is right for you or not? Well students can enroll in the ROTC Basic Course for their first two years of college to discern whether or not ROTC is the right path for them. However, the ROTC Basic Course does not come with a scholarship. If at the end of those two years, students decide that they want to continue with ROTC and serve in a military branch after graduation, a scholarship may be available.

Gamers be warned!

Over the past few years online games has been usual to us teenagers. Many are already addicted to it already, and to be honest I myself is addicted too. Though it has been already part of our daily habit, many still lack the knowledge about the effects gaming addiction does. So as one of this individuals, I decided to study about it and figure out the common reasons why we’ve been addicted.

Now I learned that the main reason why individuals get attached to this stuff is because they’re playing with another individual. “Gamers tend to compete” with one another, showing off which one is more better at the field of playing. Also with another player, they can feel the tension rising in the air because they are against an opponent which is capable of thinking. Another good reason is because “they can’t pause the game”. All online games probably, if a player interacts with another player the game cannot be stop anymore. This is the most probable reason why you can’t disturb gamers. Last on my list is because of “proving something”, many individuals play a game out of loneliness in which case make them weary to continue to play when socialization in person occurs. Others tend to stick to the game because of a goal, for an example an achievement in the game, trying to beat someone and proving they’re good. Many reasons are still out their but I guess this is the most precise.

I am also a gamer, I was addicted to it before, but I changed at the time a realize that it was slowly effecting my life. Though gaming can make us avoid life problems it doesn’t mean it can fix it. So as for now, I encourage you not to play.

Bullying - A Crime

This is an issue that continues to evolve through the generations. Bullying pose a huge impact on every child that is affected. It is unwanted, an aggressive behavior that commonly takes place in school. this made everyone affected even parents of the affected worried that their child might do unescessary actions just because it is hard to deal with.

Bullying is not only present in every teen or child but also to adults that experience harrasement in their workplace. According to source, 80% of the time bullies target women in workplaces while 60% of the time they target men. thinking of it women is much more prone to it when in adulthood. About 28% of students from grades 6 to 12 acknowledge this issue. The most difficult effect of this is having the child resort into suicide because he/she can’t handle the issue. This can widely affect the behavior and actions that it may come up to isolation and losing of friends that could help them.

Therefore, this is a call to a stop. It tends to frustrate the being of those who are affected. This could lead to anxiety, depression and other disorders that can damage the being.  A person can be misleaded in life and lose his/her hope in meeting wellness in life.

ABORTION: is a guilt of human labor.

Abortion is a highly controversial issue that is affecting our society. People feel that abortion is evil because it is killing an unborn child. On the other hand, people believe it is a woman's constitutional right to choose, but if one were to end an innocent child's life is not only unethical and inhumane, but it is also morally wrong.

That abortion is the killing of a human being, which defies the word of God, spoken from the Bible. In where the Bible states that “Thou shalt not kill,” in Exodus 20:13. In all countries around the world and among peoples, a natural instinct or an unwritten tradition placed murder among the worst crimes, and made its penalty death. According to the Bible, there is no fine line or conclusion drawn between a fetus or a baby. Women are murdering their developed children and lying to themselves while doing it so that they feel better about it. The truth is, there is no way around it. They cannot make the fact that they are inhumanely killing an innocent child just go away. Each abortion deprives an innocent baby of a full life. Think about this, each person who supported slavery was never a slave… and every person who is for abortion wasn't murdered and got to live.

Our world today is full of unsolved, decisive and controversial issues. Most of them relate to our morals, ethics, and religion, thus creating a very strong yes’ or no’, or good’ and bad’ side. Therefore to any person who is for abortion or is contemplating having one of her own, think about this, everyone who is alive got the chance to live and experience wonderful things.

Respect,Reflect ,STOP Bullying !!

Bullying  is when someone is being hurt emotionally or physically, on purpose. Bullying makes someone feel so small . Being judged and criticized in front of lots of people , it makes you feel so small and useless. Respect one another because each one of us created by God equally . Respect for we are just human beings with the heart to feel happiness and sadness. Being victim of bullying is a nightmare . Honestly, personally I experienced being bullied because of my skin color and my appearance. It hurts my feelings . I am just a human who can feel downfall. The words that I heard and read is like a knife which gives my heart pain. It's always in my mind and I am in point questioning myself “Do I deserve all of this? ” , “ Why ? ” . It is very tiring to question yourself with the things you can't understand.

Reflect , try to reflect your self to those people whom you bullied. Try to imagined yourself being in their situation. What would you feel? After putting yourself on it , question yourself is it nice to be in their place ? As of now , we can witness from our environment the outcome of bullying . From bullying which leads to stress, depression and to death. Hanging their selves , killing their selves and taking their own lives. Bullying may take emotionally from hurtful words and may take physically from bullies who liked to hurt physically. This is not a good practice for individuals it may lead to low self esteem , communication skill disorder and being introverted. Take this things seriously , it is not all about fun but it's about life and reality.

There are lots of feedback from victims about the impact of bullying in their lives. The government created a Republic Act 10627, the anti-bullying law passed in 2013, is “an act requiring all elementary and secondary schools to adopt policies to prevent and address the acts of bullying in their institutions.”  RA 10627 prohibits not only “unwanted physical contact” between the bully and the victim but also cyber bulling and any act “that causes damage to a victim’s psyche and/or emotional well-being.”This act really helps individuals to have their rights to complain and claim their rights from this experiences. You should stop bullying for it is prohibited by the law of people and in law of God. Let's start living in a world with peace . A world with no judgement and full of love.
