Orc Battle Master Fighter
Spent a while on the planning, just figuring out what colours to use where and in what order. But it turned out as well as I had hoped. I just wish my tablet camera didnt white balance it and make the colours look a but washed out. The colours are warmer irl.
I've been playing Cyberpunk and took a break to paint a portrait of my version of the protagonist. My art style definitely doesn't match with the game but its a close approximation.
Redraw of an old character of mine. Made with markers again. I'm getting better with them I think, I just ned to get more so I'll have more colours to work with.
More work with markers. Learning how they work best is still difficult but I'm getting it. Usually any colouring I do is digital, so I forgot that in traditional art it actually matters what order you put your colours down. So I accidently made her skin too dark off the start with no real way that I know of to lighten it and get lighter tones. You can always add colour but never take it away I guess. I think it works ok as is but I would definitely change some things if I did it again.
I wanted to practice more with copics and i thought it turned out good enough to post.
I was just doodling and came up with this character one day. The design was fun so I redrew it in a sort of walking pose.
I like most of this one, some parts bother me and I think I could do better in some areas, but overall I think it came together better than expected. I did not have much confidence in this one when I started lol. My old drawing teacher always tried to put an emphasis on using the whole page, not just a small part of it whenever you draw, and I`ve definitely noticed to makes a difference. It looks like a more completed piece when there isn`t a huge amount of empty white.
Apparently I really like drawing horns on my characters. I love this one, it was fun to draw from start to finish and I think its one of the better pieces I`ve made.
I should use pose references more because I like the pose in this one. I think I could have pushed it a little further but its fine. I did notice that putting a big horn in the middle of the forehead means that the hair is almost required to be parted in the middle... never had to consider something like that before. Not a lot of forehead horns in real life.
Just a fun drawing. I still need to work more on hands, but everyone hates drawing hands so I`m less hard on myself when they don`t look exactly how I want. I do like the facial expression though. It came out about how I wanted.
I tried reproducing the art of a much better artist than myself. I think it turned out way better than I thought it would when I started it. The original art is by Dave Greco and you can find it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/B_FVt0pjtJI/?igshid=1dcnioim60chd
