ON THE ART OF SENSORY NAVIGATION
Together with Tereza Stehlíková, Karolína Plášková and Tereza Lišková, we talked about our ways of (not) losing the sense of direction. Or: On the art of sensory navigation in the Czech Radio's show ArtCafé.
FERAL GIFT: WHEN ARE WE TOGETHER?
The Feral Gift - a co-creative experiment in feral ways of knowing, sensing, and making sense with more-than-human worlds - keeps giving.
After the initial loop exploring what could it possibly mean to become a change (2022), we reassembled our selves in different shapes and bodies, with the intention to understand and make sense with each other. Moving together, following each other's time, to the point when we meet.
ARS BIOLOGICA // INITIATION
Ars Biologica: Independent Studies Program (ABIS) Initiation in October 2024: a 2-day workshop summoning artists, scientists, and their landscapes to weave together the Ars Biologica study program - soon to emerge within the České Budějovice - European Capital of Culture 2028 project.
A FORAGER’S NOTEBOOK: INVITATION TO DRIFT WITH(IN) TASTES, CROPS, AND LANDSCAPES
A booklet emerging from the workshop "Foraging for Planetary Health: Exploring Multispecies Metabolism in a Postindustrial Landscape" organised by the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (autumn 2024, Prague).
UROBOROS 2024: NESTING ACROSS DIFFERENCE
Uroboros 2024: Nesting across Difference - Annual art & design research festival based in Prague.
The 2024 festival theme brings up difference as a key element in more-than-human worlds, made up of many nests: temporary places of safety, comfort, and belonging.
How do we arrive at destinations that don’t seem to exist (yet)? How do we know where and when to land, and whom to travel with? What do we keep in our carrier bags, and what gets tossed, lost, or forgotten? How do we make sense with the places and travellers we encounter on the way? Or – what does it take to nest across difference, in more-than-human worlds?
FERAL NEST: MULTISPECIES SENSE~MAKING
Feral Nest: Multispecies Sense~Making was a 1-day cinematic symposium organised at Uroboros 2024 festival that brought together artists and researchers working with/in multispecies ecologies.
FORAGING WITH KAFKÁRNA MULTISPECIES ECOLOGIES
Workshop & drift at Kafkárna Center for Art and Ecology, organised for the Institute of Sociology - Czech Academy of Sciences’ event Foraging for planetary health: exploring multispecies metabolism in postindustrial landscape.
MAKING SENSE OF/WITH ARTISTIC RESEARCH
Making Sense of/with Artistic Research. Talk at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology (FaVu) - Diploma exhibitions seminar.
FERAL FIELDS: PRACTICING WITH MORE-THAN-HUMAN VARTIOSAARI
The Feral Fields sympoiesium co-organised on & with the Vartiosaari island in Helsinki (31.5-2.6 2024) explored the possibilities of more-than-human co-creation – of knowledge, data, experiences, and relations. Our focus was, among others, on the 1) ethical aspects of more-than-human co-creation (who can participate, to what extent? whose interests and futures are considered?) the 2) diverse aesthetic forms this can take in practice (how could these collaborations sound, smell, taste, look, feel like?), and the 3) wider sociopolitical contexts of living and collaborating with/as more-than-human ecologies.
A set of outputs capturing our co-creative process - including an online Feral Archive, a zine publication, and a short movie - is currently on the brew. The sympoiesium program and initial ideas are living here: https://collective.uroboros.design/feralfields/
Organised as part of the year-long Uroboros festival program, with kind support from Aalto University.
FERAL EXPERIMENTS IN CREATURES CO-LABORATORY
Our experiences from feral engagements with more-than-human ecologies sprouted during the CreaTures project got published in the Research in Arts and Education (RAE) Journal ->

MORE-THAN-HUMAN CO-CREATION: MAKING SENSE WITH AI IN ARTISTIC RESEARCH
Opening provocation at SAR Forum 2024 – 15th International Conference on Artistic Research, Fontys Academy of the Arts, Tilburg. A drift with & through different AI modalities provoked together with Lenka Hámošová (Uroboros Collective).
How can we collaborate and make sense with nonhumans, such as algorithms in AI media synthesis, to develop our creative practices while maintaining their situatedness? How could this more-than-human sensemaking look, smell, sound, taste, feel like?

RESEARCH (WITH) ART PODCAST
Research (With) Art: Artistic Research Between Science, Pleasure, Dirt and Non-human World. The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU) Podcast.
Available HERE.
What does it mean to do artistic research today? In this first installment, artists and researchers Florian Dombois, Markéta Dolejšová, Jaz Hee-jeong Choi and Anne Helen Mydland offer four perspectives on why to do artistic research – and how it can reflect on both art and science, push against the myth of artistic genius, be embedded in more-than-human scales or use archeology to uncover undiscussed assumptions.
