Lost My Cell Phone ­- Grrr!

It is Interesting how we've grown accustomed to technology and its effects on our lives. I'm no different. I attend a lovely women's tea on Saturday, March 25, 2017, and between my table where five remarkable women of God and I sat enjoying the day's festivities, delectables, and a jewelry auction, which I graciously partook. Well, much to my chagrin, my cell disappeared, vanished poofed from the face of the earth. For three days my life was interrupted backtracking every single step, OMG! I admit that I am a digital girl in a digital world, but MAN, GRRRR!

Honestly, I felt locked off the "technology grid," afforded to us by the Internet. I then realized that I use my smartphone as a computer which is a reality much more than a telecommunication device. There is so much more I could share about this situation of a lost or stolen phone, I believe I would be singing to the choir.

Remembering passwords, contacts, and apps. Losing photos and videos. Which Email, blogs, and social media accounts to maintenance. I think it's not realistic to believe that we can live without paper because some things must be kept in a journal. Why? Security becomes a priority to those of us who use our device to conduct business as well as a platform to engage on social media or search browsers for the much-needed thing to find.

The moral to my saga is to understand the vulnerability of technology and how much I rely on it, on a daily basis. I know for a fact Jack that I am not the only one. Personal contacts, managing our lives by accessing banking, listening to music and handling business transactions are just a few ways we engage the information technology through the Internet by use of our mobile device, i.e. SMARTPHONES.
