Musings from Anna Fusco
I feel like pirating media that isn’t sold or offered anywhere legally anymore shouldn’t be called piracy. Girl thats archaeology
self proclaimed schizoposter nervously typing '911' into their phone and hovering their thumb above the 'call' key as they hawkishly watch a disheveled guy at a bus stop make repetitive movements and ramble to himself
You know what lemme just come back to this post because I (physically disabled, joint pain, cane user) was on a full train last night with the biggest heaviest backpack you could imagine bcs I’ve just become homeless and I was on my way to a friends house. I tried to ask people for a seat and got flat out ignored. Nobody would even look at me. It got to a point where I was literally shaking crying sobbing dry heaving resorting to begging “I’m really sorry everyone but can someone please give me their seat I have joint problems I’m in a lot of pain”, speaking to people directly “excuse me but you’re in priority seating and I’m disabled and I really need to sit down” and the only person in the whole train who would even LOOK at me while I was wheezing and clutching my stomach and sweating about to pass out in some of the most rancid pain I’ve ever felt in my life. was an old disheveled guy with a tic who was mumbling to himself. and he quietly tried to console me and convinced me to just sit on someone’s suitcase. I hope all the unnatural hair coloured pierced 20 somethings on that train that night ESPECIALLY never know peace for the rest of their fucking lives
You seriously can’t call yourself a leftist or a progressive or whatever if you can’t treat other people like actual human beings. I’ve had disheveled people who a lot of ppl would assume are homeless, be quicker to offer me a place to sit on a train than 20 somethings with unnatural hair color and “Be Gay do Crime” pins and stickers do that (esp when I injured my ankle coming back from work nobody except a mumbling elderly lady offered me their seat). They’re also not the ones who threaten to call cops on me when I’m taking foodstuffs from grocery stores! You can post about anarchy and being progressive and unhinged all you want but the fact that you would treat people who are physically disabled and in poverty this way makes you just as an awful person as anybody else
whenever anyone talks about their outdoor cat i just think of this tweet
This happened in 2025.
His name is Chris Gatlin. He’s a Black man. AI has, for years, been worse at recognizing Black people. Black activists have been speaking up for years about how police use of AI will perpetuate racism in the justice system.
The victim repeatedly told the police that he was not a reliable witness due to sustaining a head injury from the assault. On top of this, police pressured the victim into identifying Gatlin as the suspect, even though he had already identified two other suspects. It took 17 months police to finally hand over the bodycam footage, which they conveniently forgot to say existed in the first place. The case was dismissed soon after.
Keep your messaging simple:
“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”
That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.
Trump removed bird safety regulations in his first term and now bird flu is killing so many laying hens that eggs are $5 a carton
Trump removed food safety standards his first term and now we have recalls every few weeks
Trump cut the subsidies for the solar farms under construction so now electricity costs more
Trump disbanded the pandemic response team and we now we have bird flu and tuberculosis outbreaks
This conversation is funnier hearing just one half of it.
Not to be dramatic but this is a massive fucking deal and I legitimately hope every single politician dies.
The Stonewall Riot was kicked off by a couple of trans women... this is serious fucking bullshit and it needs to be called out and stopped.
The cruelty of racist white men.
Does anyone else remember when Elon was like "if anyone knows how to end world hunger for 6 billion USD, I'll fund it" and UNICEF was like "we're going to spend a month to make a plan to end world hunger for 6 billion USD and Elon is going to fund it" and Elon was like "actually, nah" and then bought Twitter instead?
I think that was one of the worst things I'll ever see in my life.
I still think that should be the thing for which he's the most famous. It should be brought up every time he's mentioned. In any news article, any interview, any history book. "Elon Musk, who was offered a chance to end world hunger and turned it down." Put it on his fucking gravestone.
every ad is a personal insult to everyone who sees it and i’m not kidding
I'm paying my internet bill for you to use MY bandwidth to put your horrid images and videos on MY screen, draining MY device's power, wasting MY time? 10000 giant murder hornets forever.
To say nothing of the potential for malicious software to load into your machine if someone decides to be a bad actor and load their 'ad' with something harmful.
I did not consent to downloading this ad.
Stop forcing me to download shit I don't want.
Been thinking again about batter backup technology.
Imagine if every apartment complex built into each unit a small battery backup in case of power outages. Not something the size of like... a powerwall... but a small bank that could potentially run a heater in the winter or the AC in the summer. Not all the time mind you. Imagine if they were all networked together in a bank to grid style arrangement to distribute power or at the very least ease the load at peak hours of demand.
I think that would be worth considering.
Yes it would cost money.
Yes I know landlords hate spending money on ANYTHING that might improve the lives of their tenants.
I'm just saying... there's potential there.
Especially if they added solar on the roof of each building.
“Abolish Golf”
Sticker spotted in Chicago, Illinois.
A typical golf course uses 200 million gallons of water a year. There are over 16,300 golf courses in the United States.
That's nuts.
Ngl I hate golf and I'm all for this. They put a golf course in our public park at the expense of hundreds of centuries-old live oak trees. Half of the walk around the park you're just looking at an empty golf course. Like 2 people want to play golf. So annoying.
Golf was a game developed in Scotland, where it rains up to 250 days of the year, and where the courses use very hard-wearing grass. The sand in the bunkers is because it used to be played on the coast - these traditional courses are called "Links" courses. The top Links course in Scotland, Royal Dornoch, uses no mains water at all. They have their own rainwater collection system.
It wasn't originally intended to be played in the middle of a desert on lush green turf that takes thousands of gallons of water a day to maintain. Unless you can keep the course alive using only rainwater collection, it shouldn't exist.
like this post to supporting him
@finalshockdown i like your little guy
I wonder if anyone's tried making one of those beaded geckos but made it look like the Biolizard 🤔
