This is how they described Ford Prefect in the book basically
i love tumblr sometimes because where else would i be able to go as crazy as i want over a two headed egomaniacal alien, the egomaniacal alien’s autistic cousin, the autistic cousin’s painfully british (boy)friend, and a depressed robot from a series that’s almost 50 years old and still always have at least 7 people who agree with me it’s amazing
you gotta have faith.
Man if i lived in Hyrule i would end up as part of the Yiga clan, not bc I'm evil but bc Kohga is just such a funny and ridiculously charming character and i love him
Me, any time kohga appears: KOHGA KOHGA KOHGA WOOOOOOOO
"his inexplicable charisma inspires passionate loyalty" HONESTLY SAME TBH
the hill I will die on is that the most tragic story in star wars is the clones' story
im not crying you are
daily reminder that Crosshair, in fact, is a good person who deserves better
BAD BATCH SPOILERS
I'm always going to love how Cross went out of his way to save a "Reg"
TBB show has made it canon that both Crosshair and Echo are the reason the bad batch has survived for so long.
Which is really ironic.
The snarky toothpick and who hates regs and the walking republic manual are the two most competent soldiers of the craziest commando squad. They literally cannot be more opposite.
But, ya know, opposites attract.
back again and asking one more time:
WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO HIM? WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO CROSSHAIR?
crosshair and mayday clinging to each other an entire night (to just barely stay alive) only for him to die in front of his eyes THAT NEXT MORNING is absolutely earth shattering
crosshair begging the empire to save mayday’s life broke my heart
i don't know about you guys but i'm mad hexx and veetch were faceless. and don't give me the "they're clones we know what they look like" alright i know that. but they just... died. it didn't mean anything for anyone.
but i guess thats the point isn't it.
the clones aren't anything anymore. nothing to the empire, and barely anything to themselves. their continues deaths are for nothing. like for fucks sake they died protecting fucking stormtrooper armour.
thats how pathetic the empire is.
and how nolan fucking stood and watched as mayday died, ignoring crosshair's plea to get him help.
and how that scene contradicts "we're clones sir, we're mean't to be expendable." "not to me" scene.
the clones mean nothing and is pisses me off.
I also love how much it feels like Mayday was Crosshair's equal while still being utterly different.
The witty banter? Glorious. The way Mayday asked Crosshair what his name was? Fuck. The mine scene where Crosshair makes the deadweight comments, only for him to carry Mayday all the way back to the outpost despite the latter having told him leave me, as in, leave me and save yourself, and Crosshair still carried him anyway? I hope the hatewatchers saw that too. The way Mayday was mocking Crosshair regarding the pressure mine, but as soon as he was done, wiped the sweat off his forehead revealing how nervous he was? If I didn't know better, I'd say Crosshair would act similarly if the roles were reversed. The way Mayday asked what squad Crosshair used to be in and the pain with which Cross answered? Yes.
And it's tragic because, deep down, maybe Crosshair came to think he could find what he lost with one family in Mayday - a brother - and he lost that too. He did what was in his power, more than that, and he still lost it.
“Vicious creatures, but you have to admire 'em. They find a way to survive."

i think the most sobering part of the outpost episode was that split second right after crosshair shoots the lieutenant. he's finally pushed over the edge and goes against the empire for the first time-- and that's all it takes to put his life in jeopardy. those troopers could've gunned him down right there. that could've been the end of his story.
