I am going to connect my show ending to the angry viewers. My show is going to be based off of a book series, and the show "misses" a lot of key factors from the book. I know that always makes me upset, so I feel that this is a unique project idea.

People come together in many ways over social media to share their love for different shows. Whether they post memes, snapshots, or polls, people are able to interact with others positively and negatively depending on if they have the same view points or not. There are lots of fan pages as well where people will post short clips from different episodes, and this usually gains a lot of engagement.

One of my absolute favorite shows is One Tree Hill. I loved all of the story lines, action, and drama. This was a very popular show in the early 2000's but it has continued to stay popular. I loved the characters and the actors that portrayed them. Although this show has 9 seasons, I can imagine that people were upset when the show ended. Some people spent 9 years of their lives watching this show, and I am sure it was very sad that there would no longer be new episodes.
Writing to Angry Fans
How do we defuse a situation without giving too much information, but still providing enough information to settle the fans? I know you can't make everyone happy, and unfortunately there will always be people who are mad about something. What is the best way to help them de-escalate a situation?

Hello, so far this week has gone well for me. I've established a routine for breaking down assignments by day and outlining how I will approach their completion. My friends have also been a big help in helping me get rid of distractions and breaking down the assignments into smaller sections. As far as questions about this assignment/project, I would say other than the ones that I asked on Tuesday, as of right now, I don't have any.

How I Chose My Accounts
When choosing my Instagram accounts for the data project, I decided to go with "catfluencer" Instagram because I love watching cat videos, and I follow a lot of pet-centric accounts with high follower counts. I chose accounts that I know are well known to large audiences, and whose content I see often on my FYP

What I Learned from Module 2
Collecting and analyzing data in module 2 helped me identify trends in data, like the kinds of content followers of a specific account choose to engage with over others, and what those trends say about content strategy. I've had statistics classes before and they've helped me contextualize these processes better, and help me take a closer look at patterns in data, and understand how to record quantitative and qualitative data points.
I agree that module 2 helped me find trends in data. The first time I collected data, I didn't do the best. But this week I felt more comfortable collecting and analyzing data.

My experience with analyzing data has helped me feel more confident when organizing data for a bigger project. I received assistance in creating a good research question and hypothesis, and this helped me feel more sure of what I needed to be doing. I am glad we had to practice analyzing data last week so that I had a better understanding of the expectations.

I narrowed down my choices of accounts based off of the accounts that I love to engage with the most. I wanted to use the accounts that I like so that I felt it was "worth" analyzing their content. I liked being able to go back and ready posts that I may have missed or want to revisit.

I decided to focus on Instagram because it is the platform that I am the most comfortable with. I have used instagram for many years and know how to use all of the features. I like how easy it is to navigate through the app, and it is easy to find the different accounts we are looking for.

My question is how specific does my methods section need to be? I feel that I did not do too much to collect my data, but also feel that I will get points off for the methods section. I appreciate that the deadlines for this project are over a 2 week span, and I feel that I am able to accomplish each section confidently.

For the readings, are we supposed to turn in all of our notes? I had around 28 screenshots for the last assignment and wasn’t sure if that was the right approach or if I overdid it. Just want to make sure I’m on track with what you’re actually expecting when it comes to the note-taking part.

Catching Up
I got a bit behind, but I’m back and dedicating the long weekend to catching up! To stay on track, I’m breaking the project into small daily goals, and I will draft and revise my reflection a little each day so I’m not overwhelmed.
Also, I’m trying to put some effort into aesthetics, so if you see a late post, please don’t scroll past it! It’s fashionably late but still doing its job :)
I appreciate that you also still complete late work. It's better than not doing it at all.
week 2 og post 2/2
To start off, I'm feeling a little bit better now about taking online courses. I can't lie and say that it's been easy because it hasn't, luckily I have amazing friends who I'm sitting down with later tonight and they are willing to help me come up with somewhat of a "reward system" to help me stay focus and on top of my homework throughout the week. Honestly, this year through fall, spring, and now summer I've struggled a lot with school which isn't something that's every been a problem for me before, but I do think I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself to get back to how I used to be with school rather than taking time to understand that right now I'm only having a minor set back.
Thats awesome that you have friends that are willing to help you out! I love taking online classes, but realize that not everyone likes them as much as I do.

The following is how I split up this weeks project so I could do little parts throughout the week.
Monday & Tuesday- Complete data sheet
Wednesday- Draft Essay
Thursday- Review draft and fix written parts
Friday-begin creating visuals
Saturday- Finish visuals and place them in essay
I like that you are able to divide the work up like this. I wish I had the time to work on my assignments like this.

I am dividing up the project by each part. One day, I work on part 1, then the next day part 2, and so on. I have a very busy schedule between working full-time, coaching, and being a full-time student. I have a hard time working ahead, and because this class requires work due on multiple days of the week, I typically work on the assignments the day they are due. It is not great, but I have no other options.

While analyzing the Millersville English and World Languages instagram page, I figured out that there was a pattern with engagement. The posts that were recognizing students/staff received more likes/comments/shares compared to the posts that were sharing information or events. The page also received more likes/comments/shares when they posted about the cultural analysis of Taylor Swift.
