I just wanna put my thoughts out there about the NoFap movement.
-The only people who propagate the movement are people who want something. Power, fame, or most likely money. They either want your money or your vote. There are very few credible doctors who’d advise you to stop masturbating altogether.
-There are zero proven health benefits to quitting masturbating. In fact, there are proven benefits for the opposite; regular masturbation can improve heart health, mood, and sperm count.
-Not every adherent of every religion is going to follow every rule every day. You’re not a failure of a Christian/Muslim/what have you because you masturbate. There are people of every religion who please themselves regularly. Don't beat yourself up over it.
-There is very much a pipeline that begins with NoFap. If you follow the wrong people who espouse the principles of NoFap, they will make you hate all sorts of people. Jews, trans people, poor people, POC, so many demographics.
-If you feel like masturbating isn’t right for you, that’s fine. Masturbation is a normal part of growing up and figuring out who you are sexually, including figuring out if you like masturbation at all. If you don’t like it, or it makes you feel guilty, there are people who can help you quit. Therapists, psychologists, sex specialists. People with degrees are a much better support group than an unqualified muscle-bound college dropout who unironically calls himself a sigma.
Seriously, look before you leap. Don’t label masturbation as something that you shouldn’t do off of archaic morals or gut feelings. And please don’t sign up for any courses.
