Snapping open, my eyes tried to adapt against the darkness of the room. Only a little bit of light was barely visible through the windows in front of me. 

The trees outside danced as they were pushed by strong winds and the sky stood still covered in gray clouds.

An increasing and painful throb over my eye made me wince, and I wanted to pull up my hand towards it but it was met with something pulling it back. 

A metallic thick ring surrounded my wrist. From it, a long strand extended far from what my eyes could see. It was also made of thick metal rings intertwined with each other. I raised my arm to discover it had a pretty significant weight to it, and everytime I wanted to pull it closer, it tensed up, forbidding me of much movement.

“Miss Eden…” Every hair on my body stood on edge at the deep voice coming from my back, “I am genuinely sorry about the rough handling of this situation.”

Mr. Azrael stumped inside the limited ring of light visible to me, his hands resting calmly to his sides as he walked closer.

The white light around me dimmed as my eyes tried to figure out my surroundings.
