Fan art for Owlcat’s upcoming Dark Heresy. Of course the character will be custom in the final game, but the alpha had a preset one, and I actually really liked this tired investigator. I resisted the urge to pack in any fun spoilers, so here’s just a bit about the crew.

Studies are useful-important, but boring. Using favorite characters makes them a bit more fun.

We also had a Rogue Trader campaign that produced a whole bunch of sketches.

I thought that if an NPC died before the game even started, they couldn’t betray us or turn out to be a secret enemy. The GM said, “Mwahaha!”

Continuing the introductions, I’d like you to meet my favorite OCs (I definitely don’t have a hyperfixation, absolutely not 😵‍💫). They originally started as characters from a Dark Heresy RPG campaign, but over the years they’ve wandered into a few other fandoms as well.

They’ll show up quite often among the sketches and artworks, so I should probably say a few words about them.

Nero Kai Lyppe, Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus, a psyker. Reserved in his emotions, prone to strict self-control, unsettling and intimidating to those who don’t know him — and the best boss his retinue could ask for.

Mira Kadis, acolyte and fighter. Loud, energetic, and just a little unhinged.

They came together as complete opposites, discovering something entirely new in each other — and in themselves.
