Today’s dose of Chow Chow Puppy is brought to you by Sir Godric himself, the only 11 week old dog capable of making the face of an 80 year old human.

Lure
A match, A spark, In beginnings cold.
A light, in dark, shines feelings old.
Though hope, It blinds, And weakens hearts.
In truth, It binds, And tares them apart.
First Puppy bath!! My Little Lord is not pleased.
The face of perfect. Godric is 4 weeks
Sir Godric Beorn Lannister.

5.0 Did You Know, Groomers?
So. Today I was grooming one of my regulars of about 2 years, an apricot colored “Labradoodle” named Reggie. When I first began working with him, he was super friendly but nervous, and with each visit his attitude has improved to the point where he now enters my lobby leaping for joy, tail going nuts and nibbling and licking at my fingertips. The last few times his mother lovingly expressed to me how she asks him if he wants to “come see me,” and he gets all pumped and excited. I just grin at her and reassure her that the feeling is mutual, because he really is one of my favorites.
At the end of his groom, I take a minute to love on him and get him all worked up (like a grandma giving her grandchildren sugar before sending them home to mommy). He gets all pumped and cheesin’, his face all up in mine and seemingly just happy as can be. Seemingly.
The next thing I know, without missing a beat this child leaps up, grabs a chunk of my hair, yanks it out and eats it infront of me.
....what??
I was speechless. I clutched at where I used to have more hair and gawked down at him as he happily continued his oblivious doodle-dance. I have never been so shocked and appalled while laughing my ass off. I’ve only been grooming for 4 years, but never have I even heard of this happening, and I sure as hell never saw it coming!
Reggie’s owner comes to pick him up about a half an hour later, and I couldn’t help but laugh and tell her what he did! Almost just as surprisingly, she closes her eyes and nods, laughing apologetically. She informs me that he actually does this, and he EATS THE HAIR of people he likes. She said I am now officially accepted, and part of his pack.
.....
So, I haven’t been this entertained in a very long time. Fellow groomers, did you know that this is the true symbol of love and acceptance from your four-legged clients? When they eat your hair, you’re in.
