Random Reflection 

 I enjoy this class very much. I don’t know if I could ever come to a point where I can confidently call myself a designer or artist though. With this project I’ve felt an insecurity and an opposing sureness every decision, every step of the way. It’s like I know what I want to do, but don't know why. And that sounds so contradictory to what I learn in other courses, where I'm finding aspects of design are supposed to be intentional and well thought out. Is it bad if create something and the meaning comes after. I usually think that of music artists because it, most of the time, sounds like they're BSing 😂. But that’s how  I felt with this project. I feel like a lot of the time spirit is inside me telling me to do something without reason (like make the garment about “Venus” and make it self fitting), and then later, I get a “YES! that’s why I told/led you to do that!” from an external experience (like randomly daydreaming about my Greek drama class, learning about Dionysus and that the themes in Artpop and “Venus” talk about gender roles, sexuality, etc and if its self fitting any body can wear it). Am I being too closed minded? Is it because of deadlines and time constraints that I think like this?
