It had been a long time since Caroline had been forced to fight for her life. Maybe too long; her instincts were rusty, and the months without her powers had left her even more out of practice. But the Salvatore school was her home, it was her children’s home, and there was no way she was letting it be taken over without a fight.
The creatures she faced down wasn’t something she recognized, looking more like a fairy tale than real life. Trying to decipher what it was took second priority, though, behind avoiding the teeth and claws it was lashing out with in all directions. “Get away from them!” she shouted, hurling herself into it to buy the nearby students some time. “Pedro, take the others to the main hall! Find Dr. Saltzman, okay? Go now!” There was enough time to get the words out before she was tossed across the hallway and into one of the unforgiving walls.
She groaned as she forced herself up, staring the thing down as the sound of footsteps and a voice approached from behind her. “If you’re not here to help me kill this thing, you should probably run. Right now,” she called, without even looking back. “Go find the others.”

“I have a better idea, you could duck.” Kiera replies with a cock smirk on her face as she raised the barrel of the shut gun that she had swiped from the headmaster guy, he seemed to busy to argue once she showed him her badge and wolf eyes. Taking the shot high it hit directly in the face of the creature, moving around the vampire she changed target sending a blast into the creatures, well she assume knee. If it was going to get up again at least it would have one hell of a time chasing anyone. “I don’t know what the hell these things are but standard protocol is anything getting a blast in the face with a 12 gage, isn’t likely to get up. At least not easy.”
