The aftermath of the attack left Josie motionless amidst the death and destruction of the boarding school. She could hardly find the words to express her anguish as she attempted to sift through the debris, in order to begin clearing up. Upon the approach of footsteps, she began to dry her eyes and clear her throat as she called out, “it’s okay, i’ll take this room.”

The events of the night had left Tara feeling nothing more than spent, her body and uniform adorned in the blood of the monsters and the injured or deceased as she stared in dismay at the aftermath that was left behind. She had long since put a call through to the babysitter making sure she and the kids were okay the moment the phone lines had finally gone through and had since busied herself with ensuring Avery was fine and assisting with those who needed attention when a faint voice broke through her thoughts and she turned, a dazed look upon her features as she gave a shake of her head. “Hmm, oh no, I’m fine,” she mused. “Blood’s not mine, triage is that way if you’re looking for medical attention.”

It appeared that the boarding school had been hit just as hard as the hospital and Wyatt had been sifting through the debris upon his return as he made his way through towards the kitchen. His initial plan had been to locate a blood bag or two, but the stash had already been hit and he was left with the measly remainders. As he heard approaching footsteps, his features were immediate to lift in the hope’s that it would be Sky, or at least a familiar face, but either way he murmured, “we’re of of blood bags if that’s what you’re after.”

Snatch. Eat. Erase.  Hope knew the drill.  The compulsion side of things had taken a few tries, but the blonde standing across from her in the alley behind Dr. Salvatore’s office was looking back at her with an eerie calm that couldn’t have come from anything but Hope’s suggestion to not be afraid.  It was her first feed since the one immediately after waking, and while part of her was terrified of getting it wrong she had to trust in herself and what she knew.

Leaning in, she sank her fangs into the woman’s neck and drank deeply from her, running a hand through the woman’s fine hair in a gesture that she was sure was meant to calm one of them - which one, exactly, she couldn’t say.  It was with a great deal of effort that Hope pulled herself away a moment later, wiping her lips clean with the back of her hand.  “Go,” she gestured to the blonde.  “Remember, you cut yourself on something but you don’t remember what.  Go home and clean that, okay?  And change the dressings every day until it’s healed.”

Only as she turned away did she hear footsteps approaching from the other end of the alley.  “Sorry, this creepy alley is taken.  Please try the next one.”

“No, I would not like to see the doctor,” Kayleigh insisted for the fourth time.  The hospital was doing its best to help those injured in the attack, but it there were two good reasons she didn’t need the assistance.  She could hardly use her insurance, not when it would give her family an immediate way to find where she’d gone, and she was going to heal up in a few moments anyway.  “Now can you please go and help one of the people who was actually injured?  There’s some guy in the ER with his foot gnawed on, I think he needs it more than I do.”  The nurse grumbled and turned away, heading off in the direction Kay had pointed.

She turned to the person next to her and shook her head.  “I think I better get out of here before they change their mind and try and drag me back down the hall, you know?”

Being unable to get through to Rowan when the phone lines were finally back up once more had sent an overwhelming amount of worry soaring through the male as hi feet carried him as fast as they could to the hospital where he had been headed to meet up with her for the last check up before the baby’s due date when shit had hit the fan. Bursting through the hospital doors, frantic green hues glanced around at the wreckage and carnage as he waved in and around the injured and deceased in search of his wife, frantically calling out her name before a hand landed against his arm and he turned in a heat of distress shoving the other’s hand away from him as the other told him to calm down. “Calm down,” he questioned with a scoff. “My wife was here before all this shit for a final appointment before our baby was due and I can’t get a hold of her. Don’t you tell me to fucking calm down.”

Klaus had enough, the night was longer than he cared to admit and it wasn’t due to a physical exhaustion, it was emotional. He had been raging most of the night wondering how the attacks were linked to his daughter and where she had been taken and by whom. None of the answers were given and he couldn’t handle the bitter taste in his mouth so he did the only reasonable thing he could think of. 

Pouring himself a drink at the Grill having the bottle left in front of him, it took hours for him to get the blood staining from his skin and under his nails and even now he was sure he could still see the slight pink tint on his hand as he raised his glass to his lips and took a long drink. “If you’re here to try my patience I will give the last bit of friendly advice I have to offer and say ‘Don’t’, its thin as it stands.” He mutters pouring another filling into his glass.

Though Darcy’s medical expertise was mostly limited to animals, most of what she knew could still be used to help with any of the injured as she moved through the halls of the boarding school with a duffel bag filled with supplies she had quickly gone to gather from her office before returning. She had quickly busied herself with stitching up a deep wound on someone finishing rather quickly just as someone stopped nearby, casting a shadow as she took the last snip and she pushed herself up from the floor. “Just make sure you go see your doctor to get those removed in a few weeks,” she told the other helping them up. “Or come find me at my clinic or the farm just off the edge of town.” As the one she had been helping moved away, the witch turned to face whoever had approached, a soft hum leaving her lips as an arm rose to wipe across her forehead, the mix of sweat and blood still sticking to her skin. “Did you need something looked at,” she questioned. “I’ll warn you know most of my medical expertise is limited to animals but it’s not too terribly hard to correlate it to humans so…”

Getting his children home safely had been top priority the second things had cleared up and while he knew he should’ve stayed with them,” he’d be lying if he said his nerves weren’t completely shot as he sat himself down in a barstool and ordered 3 shots of whiskey, downing the first two with ease before he began sipping at the last one as someone seated themselves beside him. “One hell of a night, aye,” he questioned nonchalantly, not even bothering to cast a glance in the others direction. “Can’t say that’s something I’ve ever expected to experience.”

Tatia was currently looking down at her notebook as she wrote in. She had wanted to get out of the house feeling as though she was being suffocated shoved in a home all day long. Instead she was sitting at the Mystic Grille, probably not the best place considering she looked like three other woman but she was sitting in the back and trying to not draw attention as she drank her coffee and wrote in her notebook.

The adrenaline from the evenings events hadn’t yet worn off and not that he wanted to admit it, but he had somehow adopted an irrational fear of going home. Perhaps it was his reluctance to be left alone with his thoughts, or the memories of the necessary atrocities he had committed that day. With a deep breath, he turned to the other beside him and murmured, “this might sounds crazy, but …. do you wanna go get a beer?”

The boarding school had been insistent that the injured were to get immediate medical attention, but despite Cora looking as though she had been through the wars, there wasn’t a single scratch on her. “I’m okay, really…” she attempted to assure once again, defeat etched into her tone as she murmured, “I just wanna go home.” Despite her protests, she hadn’t been allowed to leave just yet and the nurse had exited the room to acquire some extra bandages. Just as the woman had left, had the door swung open again and restless footsteps barged into the room. “I’m sorry, this rooms taken.”

Kai wasn’t an idiot, these creatures where ever they had been, however they had been hiding he knew that the magical properties of them should be rather important. So while others wanted to simply brush the night off he wanted to take some things for collection. With jars out, knife in hand he carved into the monster bodies that seemed rounded up and piled likely for burning to get rid of, carefully removing the eyes from a body covered in snake like hair he plopped them into a blacked out jar still unsure just how much they would work without the whole being alive thing. Claws here taken, horns, venom from fangs, in the end of it all Kai was covered in goo, gunk and blood. Turning to find someone coming up to him he offers a small wave and smile, “I know what you’re thinking; is this classified as dumpster diving or grave robbing?” He chuckles a little, “Personally I am leaning more towards dumpster diving, cause I don’t think anyone is planning on making little graves for any of them.”

Dex was begrudgingly assisting with the clean up, in aftermath of the attack and exaggerated huffs of air fled his lips each time he picked up a piece of furniture. He continued sifting through the debris in attempts to clear as much of the boarding school as possible, something of which wasn’t usually necessary after a hunt and the wolf was making his frustrations clear. “Can’t the witches just wiggly woo this place back together and we call it a night?”

Stefan was on the phone with the woman who had helped him, she was freaking out because of the fact that Stefan was at the Mystic Grille and it confused him. Why did she care so much, what was it about this town that was driving her crazy? He didn’t know but he was just trying to come her down “I’m just having a drink, I needed to get out for a little bit, why are you freaking out?” unbeknownst to him, someone was watching him.

Isra had a long shift at the hospital and she honestly couldn’t wait to just go home, take a nice bath and relax with her cat. She loved her job but at times it did get very draining especially being around blood. Despite having control over her ripper side, it still got to her at times. Her gaze moved to a stranger and she offered them a soft smile “hello, can I help you? are you alright?”
