the unfortunate truth about drawing scales is that they never really get less annoying to do and getting better at them only means you get to draw more complicated ones

the way they generally work for me is i tend to follow a pattern of larger, flatter scales following the tops of arms and leg surrounded by smaller, rounded support scales - i try to use a lighter touch on the pen pressure while filling in the scales so the outlines end up more distinctive

this works basically the same for the head!

for the longer stretches of body i tend to use the interlocking u’s, starting with one row on the widest part of the body and building downwards

copying and pasting isnt a perfect shortcut, especially if you have a lot of curves, but it DOES save a chunk of time

they dont have to be perfect!! honestly the hardest part is getting them to be even, and that just takes a lot of practice. remember that theyll fold in a bit as they get closer to the edge of the body if you can manage it ( which is hard ) - the closer the thinner, which helps give the illusion of curving. uhhh hope this helps

Ordinary looking 1946 house in Santa Fe, NM is so whimsical inside. 2bds, 2ba, 1,722sqft, $629k (Zillow's est.: $603,100).

Enter a cute living room.

And, look at the doorway. Artsy and whimsical.

It leads into a nice big kitchen. The older cabinets are perfect for painting and changing the hardware.

Off the kitchen there's a full bath.

Also off the kitchen, there's this large entrance room from the side door of the house.

From the living room, there's another doorway to the stairs for the 2nd floor bedroom. It has plenty of room in here for a desk.

They have a table here, and looking up, you can see the 2nd level.

It's lovely up here.

Nice sitting area with a cool fireplace outside the primary bedroom.

Nice large room with colorful floor tiles. According to the floor plan, the 2nd bd. is in the basement, which they don't show.

Look at the tile in the shower.

There's a rooftop deck.

And, a sauna.

Private fenced yard.

Lovely garden.

i would be a kittypet all the way in the warrior cats universe. if i heard a bunch of guys were in the woods killing each other for survival and they think i'm the lame one for getting mediocre banquets i would be like you guys are stupidd and then when the thunderclan medicine cat comes by my fenced lot to pick yarrow i would be like what are doing and shes like medicine so my clanmates don't die and i'm like wow you guys really have it that rough. and she keeps encountering me and one day i'm like why don't you come inside there's plenty of kibble and she averts her eyes shyly and is like ...no that would be against starclan and i'd go To have a little kibble? and she's like You know what i mean. and i do. 5 moons later she is getting adopted by my people and visions of her ancestors still haunt her and she is from time to time like Did I do the right thing...? how could i be so selfish...? and i'm like my toy mouse squeaks

Warrior Cats is one fandom I only know from indirectly from tumblr (though I still enough to enjoy this piece), BUT a tiny interesting side note- - -

I was at the winter MondoCon and noticed a few middle-schooler(ish) children with cat masks and turned out that they are actually Warrior-fans. I got curious and found out that the first three books were republished last year. So it looks like it certainly becoming (or already is) A Thing now in Hungary, too!
