Martha sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “As much as I would love to leave him, I’m afraid there’s not much else for me to do. We built this house together, and I intend to stay here. It’s rather easy to ignore him, what with all the company he’s brought over. Besides...,” she chuckled wryly, “it’s not like he can kill me.”
