My first wide field Galaxy photo! The oldest light that I've captured thus far, from a Galaxy far, far away (situated 11.42 million light years from Earth). The Sculptor Galaxy, also known as the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy (NGC 253), is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor.
Eta Carinae (NGC 3372) by Martin Heigan My first attempt at wide field, deep sky Astrophotography (complete with newbie mistakes and only short 20 second exposures, due to a technicality with the Guide Scope). Luckily all of that is sorted out now for next time. ;) Eta Carinae - The Carina Nebula (NGC 3372) - 7 500 light years from earth. Processed in PixInsight (also a first for me).
