He hated the idea of these things, being forced to mix and mingle with colleagues every once in a while was boring in his opinion. But he did it, because it was good for business. All of his businesses, if he was being honest, from the firm to his work with Raphael, having friends in high places did you a lot of favors later on. He already had a glass of scotch in his hand, and a line of coke in the bathroom to get him through, and now he had to do the actual mingling. If he was going to be forced to do this, he might as well start at the top, and so he did, adjusting his jacket sleeves before walking over “Marty Aarons, right? I’m Elias Morgan, of Morgan and Watkins.” he explained, offering him his hand. @martyaarons
Marty didn't mind these kinds of functions, though the fact Angeline hadn't been able to attend dampened his mood considerably. So he'd ended up mingling only a little, still as polite and effervescent as usual, even though he was counting down the minutes till he could get home. He sat at his table, sipping at his scotch as his partner, Richard Rochester slipped away from the table, leaving him alone for the moment. That was until, of course, another younger man appeared by the table, extending a hand. He smiled up at him, hand meeting his in a shake. "That's right. Elias Morgan. A pleasure to meet you," Marty grinned, nodding up at him. "Please, sit down," he offered, a hand gesturing to a few of the free seats around the table. "I've heard your name around but I don't think we've met before. Right?"
