“Abraham Van Helsing, junior, part vampire, walkin’ present day…Bloody hell–Who had the look down better - Edward Van Sloan or Hugh Jackman?” The mage couldn’t help but feel that such a significant figure must be protected. Hey. It’s kind of a job, right? And somebody has to do it.
“The justice, yes; prosaic otherwise…Where is Count Dracula now? Is ‘e here, in…Lou’siana? Does he usually come alone or with horde?”
"Not sure,if I could truly call myself the daughter of Abraham Van Helsing. Since I've never actually hunted or captured in creatures of the night in my life. An uneasy sort of smile passing over her face as she stopped to brush a strand of unruly hair out of her eyes.
"As for being part vampire, it's more like full vampire plus French Quarter witch on my mother's side of the family.....I think I am gonna have to say that Edward the 1931 universal classic looked a little more like him and had the better look. Although Hugh Jackman did a pretty good job in his potrayal of Gabriel Van Helsing.
Perhaps I am wrong in saying the that it was poetic justice, but he locked away someone he considered to be a monster and in the long run become one himself...He resides here in the New Orleans area. That's when he's actually around for longer than a week. If you're referring to his famous brides, everyone of them is a bloody basketcase each one worse than the next"
Rage
The normally immaculate dungeon was a pitiful mess, broken shards of glass which could only be classified as remains of useless knickknacks lay scattered across the floor, turning the stones into a minefield for bare feet. The antique silver coffin, prison, lay on the stone floor, turned over so the open lid propped it up off the floor with the liner and foam cushion falling out onto the floor beneath it. The marble pillar that held the coffin was cracked with a large chunk and a handful of pebbles beside the coffin. The grand rosewood four poster bed was left in splinters, dangerous splinters at that, the sheets shredded and pillows implanted in the stone walls.
Destruction.
it was contained to his own room, the library and private bathroom in the basement were intact.. Just his own room. On the south end of his room, before the large wooden cross he was on his knees with his shoulders in a slump of defeat. "…How much longer must I endure…?"
Unfortunately for Mary, she didn't need to see nor hear the destruction that was occurring in the basement that evening. She could feel every single thing. The rage, anger, and sadness that emitted from him every time he threw another glass trinkets that he had so carefully and cleverly stolen over the years since living in New Orleans at the wall on the far side of his bedroom and let out another inhuman animalistic growl that sent the whole house shaking on it's foundation. Turning over on her side, she placed her hands over ears and closed her eyes tightly in the hopes that she could block some of it out, but it was pointless to try. Slowly she rose from her bed and wrapped a sweater around her shoulders before opening the door of her room and stepped out into the hallway.
Quietly she made her way down the stairs and through the dimly lit parlor as she pushed the double doors leading into the dark kitchen open. Slowly turning the handle of the door leading down to the lower levels of the mansion and placing a bare foot on the cool stone of the steps leading down to his room, she shut the door behind her quietly and started the long walk towards his bedroom.
Opening the door carefully, she stepped inside the huge room and scanned the entire area in less than a second. It looked as though a tornado had come through that part of the house and destroyed everything in it's path except it wasn't a tornado. He was now slumped in the middle of the floor staring up at the huge rosewood cross that hung from the wall. A mixture of clear and bloody tears streaked his face as he continued to stare at the wall. Stepping farther into the bedroom, she carefully made her way around the broken pieces of glass and marble that littered the floor until she was standing in front of him. Bending down on her knees, she ignored the pain as jagged pieces of glass embedded themselves deep within the skin of her knees and legs.
She was more concerned with what had caused him to completely destroy everything in his bedroom more than anything or anyone else at the moment. Tenderly she wiped the bloody tears that had began to fall away from his eyes with her finger tips and placed a light kiss to his forehead before brushing a few strands of unruly curls away from his eyes. Softly she began to hum a ancient and familiar tune to him as she took one of his huge hands in her own smaller one.
"Judas, My love please come back upstairs with me.“ Her voice barely a whispered as she tilted his chin slightly up to look at her. Raising carefully from the cold marble floor, she never let go of his hand as she pulled him quickly to his feet and lead him out the door.
~Appointments~

Mary Heller sat in the crowded waiting room of Dr.Steward's New Orleans office for an afternoon appointment with Lucy, resting her head against the wall behind her and closing her eyes. The sudden suicide of her mother had left her shaken and unable to sleep for weeks. The images plaguing her mind wouldn't allow her to find any peace.
Dr. Steward was the twentieth or thirtieth Psychiatrist, she been to in the past fourteen years. Each of them with a different diagnosis’s to what was wrong with her. It was Lucy who presided her to make, the appointment for today. "I don't think this is such a good idea, Lu. He isn't going to tell me anything that I don't already now." Mary stated, turning around in her seat to face Lucy. Just as her name was called from an open door on the far side of the room.

Reblog this if you are an ACTIVE canon or OC muse from Dracula
(can be any version of Dracula. I’m putting together a masterlist since the other is severely lacking in players.)
Hey you, sitting over there, typing on the computer/laptop keyboard. Yeah you you know on the other side of the screen reading this? Yeah you are awesome alright. Stay awesome. You can chose whether to pass this on or not its up to you. Be true to yourself - From someone who loves you.
Thank You,Anon!
“I feel sorry for the Dracula fellow. He must hate to be harassed by your father, two decades, did you say? Have you tried institutionalization, they do great things for people these days at Asylums.” Lucy spoke with complete sincerity though she didn’t mean a letter of what she said. She sought only to get this would-be vampire slayer out of her life. What better way than to present herself as a skeptic?
"I have mixed feelings about Dracula. He wasn't just harassed by my father, he was imprison in a silver coffin for over a century as leeches feed off him. Doing that time Van Helsing used his blood to keep himself alive, because of his ungodly addiction. I was born with the blood of the original vampire flowing through my veins." Mary stated, flashing a set of porcelain white fangs as her eyes shifted suddenly from their normal chocolate brown to a deep crimson and back again. "The last time I checked Asylums didn't institutionalization corpses, but maybe they've changed." She jokingly replied. She definitely wasn't a threat to any vampire especially the one currently standing in front of her. After all she was the black sheep of the great Van Helsing family.
“What you don’t actually believe those silly stories.” Lucy laughed, genuinely laughed. “Vampires? Are you sure you weren’t reading your father’s fiction?”
“Trust me,when I say there are days that I wish everything that I‘ve read and heard for the last two decades were just silly stories or a novel that my father had been composing for hundred and three years.” Mary replied, with a hint of sarcasm to her voice. “Unfortunately for me that isn’t true, his sick obsession with Dracula effected me as well as countless others.””
“And he didn’t note her death?”
“Yes, He did.It was a horribly gruesome way for her to perish, but I know enough about vampires that some times killing them doesn’t always work. I speak from experience.”
“Just out of curiosity, what connection do you see between your father and myself?”
“It was one of his journal entries from 1897 during his hunt for Dracula. There was several pages on a Lucy Westerna. I thought that it might be you from the description that he gave of her.”
“Quite alright, anything else?”
“No, I don’t think that there is. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me.”
“Well I don’t know him so I can’t help you.”
“Then I apologize for taking up your time.”
Resurrected Love
Every curtain was drawn.. The entire apartment was black as pitch..
For once, the stereo was not blaring out that song.. The T.V was off, there was no sound.. It was silent as a tomb.
Tobias had been doing a good job of pretending to be okay, for weeks now he had been ignoring the voices that were swimming through his head and he had adapted to his strange surge of power.. But he remained in the apartment, locked away from anything and everyone. He didn’t trust himself with company.
He was currently burrowed under his blankets and about three different pillows, hiding from the world while inside his own private one.. Thankfully he had kept enough stock in the fridge to keep him going for a little while…
Mary hadn't heard anything from him in over two weeks and she was beginning to worry about him. This wasn't like him at all, she thought to herself as she drove to his apartment to check on him. An awful gut wrenching feeling came over her as she haphazardly parked the car in front of his apartment building. Nearly pulling the intricate French doors off their hinges, she raced up the stairs two at a time to the third floor. Stepping onto the third floor landing, she quickly made her way to his apartment door. There wasn't usual signs coming from his apartment and she knew it was useless to knock. Muttering a simple incantation under her breath, she unlocked his apartment door and stepped inside.
It took only a few seconds for her eyes to adjust to the darkness as she quickly made her way to his bedroom. Not bothering to turn the light on for fear that it would cause his headache to worsen, she sat down on the bed beside him and placed a hand to his forehead out of maternal instinct to check his temperature. She knew that vampires were incapable of ever becoming ill, but still she checked it anyway out of habit just as she had done centuries before when he was a small child. Once she was satisfied that he didn't have a temperature, she softly called his name. "Tobias, Are you alright, sweetheart?" She asked him, brushing her fingers through thick auburn waves and placed a quick soft kiss to his forehead.
Waiting for him to answer, Mary took her cell phone out of her bag and began to text Azriel. She couldn't bare to see him suffer like this any longer. It was finally time to set the plan, she had been working on for months in motion.
[Text] Need to talk to you about, Tobias. Can you meet me at Crescent City Brew House after dark?

“I’m sorry, I don’t know such a man.”
"I am his daughter and I thought you might be able to tell me something about him that wasn't written in his journals."
“I wasn’t listening, what’s the problem?”
"There isn't any problem. I was actually wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions about Professor Van Helsing?"

“And you’re very concerned about this?”
“Of course, I am it’s only instinct”
