Today it has been three years that my life turned upside down, that it went off track, that every thing was filled with colour and then black and white, and that I really learnt what it means to love somebody. Since then, nothing makes sense anymore. How did we get here? How does a relationship that had everything to fail reach three years? There were some mistakes, some stumbling along the way, but also a lot of trying, a lot of effort and a lot of love. 

Besides being my girlfriend, you’re my best friend. The strongest yet most fragile person I know, the only one who knows my body, my mind and my soul like no other. It’s difficult not to write this without smiling, without crying, wanting to just go on and on and on... But this is no ordinary post. This is for you. You’re no ordinary person. And even if we don’t work, I’ll always remember you in the most beautiful of ways. Because before you I didn’t understand the songs, I didn’t plan so many silly things, I didn’t know that a hug was capable of healing so much and that I could love someone so much. You made me grow, made me feel things I didn’t know I could feel and changed my way of thinking and acting. Years could pass and I’ll always have the best memories of us. And I want that forever. I can’t imagine myself without you. No matter how many hardships we could encounter along the way, I know you feel what I feel, you see what I see, and you know how deep, strong and true it is. 

You’re right here next to me, koala clinging to me while you sleep. And I’m here, can’t sleep thinking about what happened to me the second you first looked at me. Life gives us one opportunity to meet someone who makes you happy and I know that you’re my person. I’ll always love you, no cliché. 

Congratulations to you, and congratulations to me, and congratulations to anyone who has been dealing with us all time this time and will have to endure us for many years still because I still have a lot of love to give.
