âShitâ that serious?â Wes knew Marzia well enough to know that she did not fool around with her memorabilia. âDonât say that, weâll be fine,â he said, though he didnât believe a word of it. Something moved in the corner of his eye and he flinched. âGet behind me. Now,â Wes whispered, trying not to attract the attention of whatever had joined them in the forest.
âThat serious,â Mars clarified with a nod of her head. âYou sure?â she glanced at him, trying to ignore that she could hear her accelerating heartbeat pounding in her eardrums. With a little squeal of fear, the brunette slid behind Wesley and got a grip on his shoulders. âShouldnât you have somebody to hide behind?â she whispered as she watched for any more movement in the forest in front of them.
