Past Episode 18 of Baby Looney Tunes, the titular “Babies” drop diapers altogether. However, there were at least three instances where they were seen in diapers after this. In this instance, seen in “Duck Reflucks” Daffy messes around with Bugs on a Green screen, putting him in a bonnet and diaper. Daffy then clicks on the aforementioned clothes, removing them, embarrassing Bugs and making him cover himself. It doesn’t make sense since he WALKS AROUND PANTSLESS EVERY OTHER EPISODE!

btw "moeblob art is about pandering to lolicons" is blatant racist assumptions about the industry, mostly spread by reactionaries on /a/ that "somehow" ended up in these people's minds. The "moeblob" style is a product of an industry that has to cut corners due to too-quick turnaround times and incredibly small budget. It is not a nefarious pedophilic plot to attract pedophiles into an industry, both at consumer and creator level. Read that last sentence again and try to see if the accusation doesn't sound like your Qanon-poisoned aunt's rant, rather than a supposedly "progressive" liberal on this site.

The style is just easier to animate and design for, and like it or not, the material condition creates the conditions of the artistic landscape. People who go on to train to be animators/enter into industry, of course, adopt the style, since that's what's sought after, and this creates a feedback loop. The detailed, not-too-samey art direction that's animated decently has proven impossible without a studio abusing their animators* or literally committing tax fraud**.
