harsh winter (closed to Kakashi)
“Yes.”
Iliya gives a shaky sigh, the white mist floating in the air in front of her. She clutches her husband’s hand tighter as she pulls in the blanket around them.
It’s not a small blanket; it could have given them a lot of space between the couple while still having both of them underneath. But the cold makes her throw all personal space away as she huddles as close as she can to Kakashi.
The possible consequences of the way she’s acting right now run through Iliya’s head, but she ignores them in favor of whatever warmth she can get.
It isn’t getting any less cold.
In fact, it’s just getting colder by the second.
She stares at the flames as if willing them to would make their warmth spread farther. Another shaky sigh as she closes her eyes.
Hopefully their wait for the doctor to get things fixed wouldn’t take too long. God forbid, it’s already been long enough.
Soon enough they were both covered, whisp of warm air exited his mouth as he felt her hand tightened around his. He too held on as she slowly scooted her way closer to him. Her skin was soft and her hair smelled like flowers.
He held her close, intent on protecting the woman that he was slowly caring for. He hasn't felt this way in a long time he was happy. He let go of her hand so his arm can wrap around her body. His goal was for her to be warm and comfortable.
"I hope you're feeling ok. If you need anything else don't be afraid to ask ok?"
For the second time he pulled down his mask and gave her a small kiss on the forehead. Her skin cold against his warm but chapped. He could feel her shivering. Soon his other arm wrapped along hers and he held her, his head resting on hers.
"Anything to keep you safe my wife." He whispered as he gazed into the fire.
