to be able to survive, we all need access to resources like food, water, and medicine. global economic structures ensure that most people don't have access to these resources, so we must sustain constant effort to convince those with money to share with us so that we can survive.

for those who are disabled by the conditions of their lives and bodies, who cannot perform paid labor, who cannot write beautiful words requesting help every day--how are they supposed to survive in this system? they're not. the whole world allows them to die. this is social murder, eugenics, genocide.

to be disabled is to have something done to you. it is not simply a fact of the body. my friend Fadel (@fadel-dani) was born with a blood disorder, but it is only when he is denied access to medication and nutrition that he begins fainting. he experiences chronic pain from his injuries, but this pain cannot be divorced from its social causes: the bombing his home and systematic destruction of Gaza's healthcare system.

I asked @fadel-dani how he was doing today, and he told me:

I'm doing so bad. I can't use the phone. I'm in a very bad stomach pain. And I suffer from vomiting and nausea. I haven't been able to use Tumblr for a week because of the pain and fainting. Extremely tired 😭😭😭

he is too sick to be able to write consistent fundraising posts. please help him. he deserves to survive. he is a person. he is my friend. he matters.

Hey, I love your Koby and Luffy pony designs. You explained Luffy's cutie mark in the picture, but not Koby's. What was your inspiration for it?

Thank you <3 !! And thank you for asking 😊c I went through a few different designs for Koby's cutiemark, but I kept making them too complex design wise. I wanted something nautical, or with a fish or seagull. In the end I settled for a dazzled flyfish ! It's a small creature that can make big jumps, and the seed of awe and hope are within it's eyes! I wanted his cutiemark to spread out (a little like a twice as fancy pony) to symbolize how small the fish is, and how big the dreams are. For Koby, when he got his cutiemark, flying was a reminder of his captivity and hopelessness, as he could not do it. While his wings didn't grow back until later, the cutiemark marks the desire and promise of freedom.

He got the cutiemark at the moment he yelled at Alvida. Luffy keeps telling Zoro that Koby's special talent is yelling at women😆 and Koby keeps insisting that he sure hopes not!!!
