masterdanarius:
It was unfortunate - Danarius had hoped that the Mage-topic would catch the interest of the Healer much more. Usually it was a sensitive topic to every free mage around here.
“So you say in the end it´s every mages own fault?”, the Magister raised and eyebrow and started to walk a little circle around the blond man.
“I just thought.. Would it be nice to take our power back? All the.. bullshit the chantry is telling us mages.. to not rule but serve.”, he chuckled, “Why should we choose serve over rule . I prefer to use the power the Maker has given me, right?”
Danarius shrugged then, since the Mage changed the topic again. Not that the Magister was really interested about what Anders had to say, but rather finding Fenris but.. To ask directly was still not an option.
“Hawke? Is that his Master?”, he asked, still watching Anders carefully, “Well I´m not surprised.. This elf doesn´t seem to show any respect to those who truly deserve it.”
Anders eyes narrowed. “Don’t put words in my mouth. I never said it was our fault we are treated like criminals from birth.” He growled warningly at the man. While no cracks marred his skin, Justice’s voice joined his own. Magister or not, neither of them would allow him to suggest Anders believed the lies the Chantry spewed. "I don’t want to rule anything outside of my own life." If he wasn’t weary of the older man, Anders would have turn around and returned to making potions for the clinic. Something more productive listen to a blood mage attempt to tempt him with power. It was ridiculous of course, if the dozens of desire demons couldn’t tempt him. Creatures that could see into ones heart. What chance did the blood mage have? "And this isn’t Tevinter. Slavery is unacceptable here." He tilted his head. "Unless you want the guardsmen to throw you in the dungeons." He didn’t really know if they had a dungeon, but seeing as Kirkwall used to be a part of the Imperium. They probably did. "And Hawke is his friend or someone he at least listens to. And I assure you, Hawke is more than deserving of his respect." "Now seeing as I can’t help you with your problem why not go and let me work on my clinic." He genuinely tried to sound polite but this man was grating on his nerves. First the mages and now Hawke.
Danarius couldn´t help but smirk. This turned out to be more and more interesting. Something was clearly not normal about this Mage and since Danarius has spend his whole lifetime in Tevinter, knowing this signs of possession.. Well at least he hadn´t expected it with this Anders-guy. But this was no normal demon-possession. This didn´t seem like a demon and that alone caught Danarius´ interest.
"It was not my intention to offend you.", the Magister chuckled and shrugged, not truly interested to apologize at all.
And again the Magister raised both hands, showing that he didn´t mean no harm.. not right now at least. Danarius still tried to keep his cool and get more information out of this run-away-mage.
"I know that you folks outside if Tevinter dislike Slavery a great deal. I´m not that stupid, my friend.", he explained, "But this elf spoke in Tevene. He clearly was a slave, you could see it in his eyes. And those nasty little rats that chose to run away usually search for a better Master. Once a worthless slave, always a worthless slave.", he chuckled, feeling his blood boil with jealousy thinking that Fenris had simply replaced him with another Mage. Oh how he would make sure Fenris never did this again once he was his again...
Danarius was sure that Anders wouldn´t tell him now. It was a shame, but he managed to annoy the blond-man and so he had no choice. Raising his staff, pointing at Anders he chuckled coldly again.
"Tell me - with which demon do you work together? Or spirit? Something is off, I can feel it.", he shrugged, "Talking so noble and then that. You disappoint me."
