Truth be told, Morceran doesn't entirely begrudge Amalica's disbelief. It's true—he had gotten too close for comfort with the construct, and it had caught his leg, and sure, that was terrifying and one of the closest calls of his life, but it's nothing he can't manage on his own.

"Of course I can—it will heal." Cautiously, he attempts to put some of his weight onto his injured leg, teeth grinding together as he sucks in a sharp, pained breath accompanied by a full-body shudder. For a moment, he feels he might vomit, pain raw and electric even as he removes his weight from his leg.

For a long moment, he keeps quiet, ears pressed flat against his head while he glances at the Drow rooting through her pack out of the corner of his eye. Eventually, he sighs, swallowing his pride just enough to mutter a begrudging "...Fine."
