Week 2 Journal entry
My goal in this goal is to better understand best practices in digital marketing and enhance the ability to identifies strengths and weakness in both my business model but potential clients also. I believe by doing so it will help uncover new opportunities as I continue to develop my personal brand. I believe that a balance between creativity and structure through touch points in required in order to be able to forecast and deliver to create a successful brand.
The Lynda course I received a certification for is âBranding and Marketing  Integrationâ.  The first takeaway I received from the lecture was the importance of understanding the difference between a brand and marketing. Understanding that the brand is the characteristic of the business and how it perceived by others, professionally and at times culturally. Marketing is how you communicate to target audiences. The created a clear picture that would allow me to better communicate my companies overall goal.
My second takeaway, is the level of interest in business marketing integration there in comparison to the need for it. 72% of customers want integration and 86% believe that it will positively impact their business long term but yet there is limited internal integration that will improve in customer communication if not anything else. The third takeaway, is a better understanding of how clear and specific I need to be in addressing my goals and how it will benefit my customer and employees because they are one and the same. What I have learned in this certification directly impacts my focus as a personal brand and a company. The importance of gather data for the purpose of enhancing the customer experience is where the innovation is. By focusing on the three parts of integration: patience, time, and resources.
