I should be doing more to appreciate the lack of marvel movies in today's popular culture. I once yearned for marvel movies to have this level of irrelevance. They used to feel almost ozymandian, like an empire that had no beginning and no end. and now tony stark iron man is naught but two vast and trunkless legs of stone.

I think before you're allowed to argue about whether trans people who can get pregnant are vulnerable to state-sanctioned violence in ways that trans people who can't get pregnant are exempt from (even if they are vulnerable to different forms of violence! they are still exempt from this one thing), you should be required to watch a vaginal delivery as well as a cesarean delivery. on video. full video. there are plenty of educational videos online where you can do so. if you have never seen a birth, I do not want to hear about how trivial of a violence you think it is. The indie animation community is so hostile towards criticism, treating all of it like personal attacks and the people criticizing as if they're "anti-indie." We shouldn't hold animated indie shows to lower standards just because they're indie; if anything, writers should meet the same writing standards as professional shows do. You can critique indie shows and still very much love and support them.

People need to quit treating indie creators like they're "soft babies" who need to be shielded from criticism. A vital part of being a creator is learning to accept criticism and recognizing that you can improve in certain areas so your next story can be better.
