In my profession opinion, as a maths teacher (in training), kids are wild.

As a student teacher I can't strike, so instead I'm doing very normal things, such as doing the entire cha cha slide whilst sat on a spinny chair!

I noticed a student wasn't sitting in his seat so I went up to him

Me: Is this your seat? (Pointing at the seat beside him)

Student: Yes but I was feeling separation anxiety. (Translation: I wanted to sit closer to my friend)

Me: No you're not.

Student: How do you know?

Me: Please just sit in your seat.

Student: You want me to sit in this seat? (Gestures at his seat) Okay then! (He stood up, moved the chair he was sitting on out of the way and pulled his own seat so it's next to his friend and sits down)

I was bested. He won.

Ik that maybe it's a harmless joking but can we stop this weird stereotype of gay ppl not understanding math/science cos literally so many brilliant people in human history were queer.

It makes me feral how little people know of queer scientists (actually might do a little presentation about it if I have more time cos this subject is so fucking interesting).

I'm tracking a pupil around today so I'm seeing lots of different subjects! One of which was PE and I didn't really have many notes to make but at one point I saw some girls playing just dance so I went over to watch and I suggested a song to them and before I know it I'm playing just dance in a blazer and maxi skirt!

Doing estimation with two classes today! I've realised that we're losing the metric system here... Lots of them struggled to understand how big a metre is or what a kilogram looks like. But I got some golden comments! On how tall the average man is, "5'10 isn't average, that's short!" I've learnt that I am about the same weight as a bag of sugar, but heavier than a car, according to some students! Really fun lesson!
