dreamt i returned to the city of my birth, the mountains were taller and capped with snow. I wanted to find our old house but saw a temple that stretched accross the whole range. When i arrived there was a party winding down, i was shown to a small windowless room and told i could live there as long as i liked

When July came they demolished my neighbors house and now there is a howling gap in its place. A few nights after it happened i had a dream that my family still owned my grandmother's house, but they had torn it down, and there was a meadow in its place. I was angry and said "maybe i would've lived there." Later in the dream my father said "I think things have a way of working out" and I said "no, a man who is locked up in prison forever wasn't destined for that when he was a baby. Terrible things happen sometimes, and we all have no choice but to make the best of it". Today work took me to my hometown. Drove past the park and the swings are gone, a place i've spent many thousands of hours. At least theres a meadow in their place

just like the last dream
A few years ago i was walking my parents dog next to the oldest house around. Its behind an abandoned pool, built before the civil war, falling in on itself. A man approached and asked what i thought i was doing, we got to talking and i told him i worked in construction, by the end we were friends. He told me pretty soon he was going to tear the house down by hand, there was nothing left of value, all stripped by thieves. He told me he had grown up on the land as a kid, when it was all still forest. Today i was talking to an old builder who lives in the same outskirt town, and i asked "Hey, do you know Roscoe, the guy who owns the old house?" He laughed and said "I talked to him this morning. When we were nine, i hit him in the head with a rock from fifty yards"

Just now i was crouched in a dark corner of the shop repainting steel hangers when i heard something land above me. It was a dragonfly, long as a cigar, wings roughly five inches. I dumped out a screw bucket and tore a piece of cardboard from the floor and caught it. I walked out the front doors and set it free, when i returned the deaf man asked me if i was painting out front. I set down the bucket so i could gesture and told him about the dragonfly, i pointed to my ear and mouthed "it sounded like a bird". I wonder now, did he know what i meant? That it was so big that at first i thought it was a larger creature? Does he know that the birds sing and the dragonfly is silent, save for the beating of its wings?

Took the dog out to look for the northern lights, about 130 AM. We walked to the empty golf course and along the thick treeline, thought i saw movement on the top of a distant hill. We reached a dark thicket and i heard what something slamming against a tree truck. Branches began snapping, and a deep growl came from ten paces away. It was loud, and unlike anything ive heard before. The dogs ears pricked and my legs turned me around. Took two steps back towards home and my whole body went cold. If you go out looking for something strange, usually it will find you
