Turn me into a vampire. I have so many hobbies to try.
We live in a world where we have greater access to technology than we do food and shelter.
Watching Severance, S1E1: compartmentalizing is what I do anyway, would totally sign up for this
Watching Severance, S1E2: oh no I've been doing everything wrong
Just saw a quarterback tie another player's shoes for him 🥹
Watching Columbo: Okay, but none of this is admissible in court.
Awake brain: Things are going so well. I'm finally in a better place.
Sleep brain: This is the perfect time to revisit that trauma from 10 years ago, and I've made just the right dream for it!

She is walking around the shop, taking in the wares, thinking to herself, "Yeah, I could buy it or I could just make it myself." She cannot and will not make any such thing.
Frankenstein is like "my ex is crazy" and I'm like "what did you do to her"
I knew a girl in college who would never wear t-shirts, not even to bed, but she bought t-shirts to have made into a t-shirt quilt
I recently started reading “A Fatal Grace” by Louise Penny, which is the second in her Inspector Gamache mystery series. I enjoyed the first book, and was excited to continue onto book two, but after about 40 pages I’ve decided to not continue with it.Â
There is a lot of absolutely horrible fat-shaming of a 12-year-old girl, some from her mother (whom we are supposed to hate) but some from the author herself in her description of the young girl. She actually calls her “grotesque.” There’s no way I’m going to keep reading this book.Â
I’m considering giving the series another shot by skipping ahead to book three (most mystery series don’t need to be read in order, in my experience) but if I see more of this kind of writing, there’s no reason for me to continue with this series. If you’ve read any of Louise Penny’s books, please let me know what you thought of them, which ones are worth reading, and which ones I may want to skip.Â
Glad to see someone else was thinking this!
