Hello there! My name’s Matrix. I go by either ‘May’ or 'Trix’, call me by whichever you prefer! I’m 20+ and I use she/her pronouns.

Mostly, I draw and I write. I play various games and read in my spare time. I often fulfill writing requests or simply enjoy having people within my inbox to talk to! I'll also be using this blog as an occassional RP hub for my AUs so keep an eye out for that.

Of all my OCs I think only Matrix-01 has actually been written as intended to be the guardian. Though I will say I did some... stretching lorewise just to get him to slot in. He's not the young wolf, which is insanity in and of itself but the Nine picked his ass out of a trash can and said: GO MY PRETTY

But because of this weird thing, he's kind of his own little narrative and I also have no idea how he'd interact with other people's OCs. Please adopt him he's weird, Mochi says he needs more friends...

Weird thing about YiFan that I don't think I've mentioned— a part of me actually wanted to make her a warlock because of Dawnblade(a more literal sword/shield dynamic with Zavala), then I tried learning the playstyle and gave up because man I CANNOT AIM, so she's a Titan instead.

Either way, I think it's also for the better because I don't accidentally want to recreate the whole o14 dynamic subconsciously. Osiris and Saint are happily gay and married in their own corner and man I should really make more stuff about them HAHAHA

It's a really weird spot to be in knowing that the final update for D2 is being dropped on my birthday. On one hand I'm hyped at the stuff being added in, on the other I'm upset because it IS the last live service update. No more holiday events, no more DLCs.

I will be there on the Jun 9 server slam, and I'll still likely keep playing afterwards anyway.

I really don't think I'll be able to drop Destiny even after the lanterns burn low, simply because I don't think I'd ever really find another game that gave me that much wiggle room for fun. Gameplay was easy to get behind, the loot loop was addicting, the customization gave me easy embers for OC creation.

As long as the servers stay up and there isn't a new game in the franchise, you can bet your bottom dollar this game is going to be my next Borderlands-like replayable simply because I like the universe. That and the sci-fi character design is just so lovely. I will never get over how the halo artstyle was, this game walks those same paths but marches much farther.

I've always been a single player, but I'm grateful to those who have briefly played with me in fireteams as I'd never found a game that made my inability to read people/teamwork a silly factor than an overtly punishable one.

I'll still stick around, my story isn't over yet. Per Audacia ad Astra.

I was so focus on those of us that have been in this space forever, I forgot about the New Lights.

There's still so much for your Guardian to do. Yeah Bungie after June 9th MAY NOT write anymore stories for the world of Destiny, but you can still write your own. That's what so wonderful about this world.

The world is still there. The servers aren't shutting down, and there is still plenty of Guardians running around.

Play, go make stories, become LEGENDS!

Is it a weird thing to be overtly aware of a fictional characters' personality and flaws to the point of sometimes imagining an argument between you and them that'll never happen?

Sometimes I imagine talking to Optimus or Zavala, and sometimes I realize I'd end up arguing with them. There's persistence, and there's unwilling stubbornness. For that, in equal measure I find they'd likely be frustrated with who I really am or what moral compass I abide by.

Or even imagining a screaming match between me and Cayde because I can be heartless and he's just... he cares too much. He often cares too much. Sometimes I even think of Zane(Flynt; BL3) and I think we'd insult each other until it stopped being jokes and it would actually hurt.

It's a... weird thing.

To like a character so much, and yet also equally acknowledge how much they'd either dislike or pity you. I imagine they are kind, but that's probably why I don't really know how to feel about it. Especially when I do acknowledge they are still my comfort characters.

The only characters I've never had this dilemma with are Stanford Pines, and Hazbin's Vox. A part of me kind of expects those two function only half-decently if at all. Ford's genius is both relatable and insufferable. Vox's bravado makes me sick, but I also have my moments. I guess I don't feel as bad/troubled because of that.

Do I attempt to write XReaders again— Also I've written a lore entry/diary for Matrix, and like... OCs on the brain but also mmmmm the things I would do to Crow rn. The brain is braining and it is very hungry.

I'll probably post Matrix's lore entry when I finish drawing his poster though, mostly because I'm straight up procrastinating a proper ref sheet(I'VE NEVER DONE ONE OF THESE CUZ I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRAW BACKS LMAOOOO)

Random things(at least to my knowledge) that I've basically plastered onto Zavala as HCs while messing with his dynamic with YiFan:

He's not affectionate in public(this man's restraint is his second skin), but he doesn't ever stop YiFan from being cute or being clingy in private.

His favorite drink is Bourbon or Scotch, I may have stolen that from Charon and Husker.

Blatant staring makes him uncomfortable, in YiFan's case it makes him flustered because he can only really guess what she's thinking. 9 times out of 10 he's wrong and she's thinking of something too embarrassing for public decorum.

He knows some basic phrases in other languages(I.e. Mandarin) because he's the commander and sometimes not all people come equipped with Common as first language. I may have also stolen this from Charon as to my knowledge the old bellhop was also a polyglot—

He owns like one formal outfit, only because he'd much rather his armor and I do not believe the city and it's governing bodies could completely force any of the vanguard into wearing something for an event they probably didn't even want to go to.

Zavala is dense, whether that is intentional or not YiFan is only with him in writing because she literally WAITED THAT LONG. I mean Caiatl has the subtlety of an ICBM but oh well look commander is in lalaland.

Zavala runs warm but his hands are icicles, he wears gloves to keep his hands warm and YiFan messes with him a lot in summer seasons because his hands are freezing and she likes her cooling pads.

YiFan knows there's a cat in Zavala's office and it keeps coming back because both her and Zavala keep feeding it. It is not their cat.

Zavala has a habit of waking up at the asscrack of dawn, like actually right before the sun rises early. YiFan used to get annoyed by it, eventually she just delays him until a reasonable time to actually get up.

The commander can actually hold his liquor, that or he drinks so slowly he just never gets drunk. Which again I say a hilarious coincidence given what other HC I have for his favorite drink.

I've personally never actually seen Zavala use anything aside from machine guns and auto rifles but I like to think he'd occasionally pick up a shotgun for the hell of it. Once again, HC because Charon.

Zavala's sleep schedule is so shit the man has insomnia but won't admit to it. He'd rather work on caffeine and fumes.

Zavala gets restless if there's nothing to do, the man is built-in workaholic if the tower doesn't need him he'll be crocheting. I like to think he's made little cozies for Targe, kinda like the ones people give to pet snakes but like for ghosts.

For this specific AU I'm still trying to figure out if I should save Targe somehow but if it's completely based on canon I have plans for YiFan and Zavala to eventually get married and hunker down away from guardian life. In that case she does outlive him and it becomes one of her biggest griefs but she doesn't ever regret loving him even once.

I may add more to this when or if I think of something else, but for now here's my brainrot. Maybe I'll post a separate one of my OCs later on or hit up my inbox, I kind of wanna know what you guys think
