Nodding at the otherâs man words regarding how he would let Romanâs people pick up the cargo, Roman went to reach for another box from a different section of the pallet and placed it next to the other, ready to open it as well. It was only their conversation regarding the drop-off that had him pausing, eyes narrowing as he looked over the stack of boxes. âNo, man. That ainât right.â Roman told him, reaching out to put an arm across the otherâs chest, forcing him back a few feet from the stack as he himself backed away. âDescribe the drop-off to me, Molina. Whatâd the guys look like? Whatâd they drive? Because we got at least 5 boxes that ainât what theyâre supposed to be, or if they are that then they ainât mine, and thatâs a problem.â
Matteo was surprised by the others reaction, but moved back quickly as he pushed him. He thought for a second. âSame as last time. Box truck, two guys, dark clothes, with hats. They knew the right phrases that you told me they would and unloaded the boxes. It went easy. There is an envelope on top they said was for you.â He told him having forgotten about that completely âI just counted the boxes, 50 in total. They said that was right and I locked it.â He told him.
