Commission for the Farmer family in 2013. We designed options as overlays to a photo of their space on my iPad. I made the pieces in my studio and then assembled/installed the artwork in their home over the course of 4 1/2 days. There were over 400 hand-made and cut papier mache’ leaves. Shown above is the process.

“The Zen Mobile” (36" (91 cm) diameter x 54" (137 cm) tall) - “Best of Show”, Littleton Museum. This is a truly peaceful and gentle mobile. The blossoms are made from abaca fibre, as taught to me by Helen Hiebert. They are painted on the outside. Inside, tissue paper with spray webbing is collaged. Vintage German lucite beads and Swarovski crystal add the finishing touch. The rods are painted river cane. http://www.matieo.com
