My last rummage around an antiques fair rewarded me with a broken but beautiful necklace all tangled up in a weighty mess of chains and beads. It took me some time to free the 5 stunning artisanal enamel discs on a broken chain but was worth the effort in the hot sunshine. These copper enamels are so stunning, with what I think of as abstract apple blossom melted glass flourishes. The background has a golden green finish which sparkles in the light. I'd like to meet the maker of these wonderful little pieces of art and am so glad I found their lost work and can bring them back into the light. Enamel discs are framed in brass lyre shaped hoops with Czech glass beads and Roman glass.
