On mornings you don’t want to get out of bed... Smile. Not for the world, not because you have to fake facade your way back into existence. Not because you owe anyone a prettier version of you...smile for you. Smile as a reminder that this too shall pass, that good things will come your way eventually. Smile to remind the devil on your shoulder about the chorus of angels triumphantly singing you blessings on the other side. Smile because your lips need to stretch too, don’t want to become lazy potatoes on the couch of your mouth. The best way to practice empathy is by lifting your own heavy heart up.
