I forget media literacy isn't good lately and then I see someone saying Wednesday is fake woke 😭
My dude they made a species of monster get their superpowers as a ptsd defense mechanism and they made them as ugly as real trauma is, and then they made the world building in a way that translates our real world ableism so well that there are people watching this show compleatly convinced he's evil and needs to die (a CANNONICALLY 16 year old orphan boy, victim of grooming, mind control and severe torture) and then made the dude the MALE MAIN CHARACTER, THE DUDE WHOSE ACTOR IS GAY ACTUALLY GAY FULLY LEGALLY MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN AND VERY HAPPY WITH EACHOTHER
HOW ON EARTH IS THAT NOT LEFTIST ENOUGH FOR YOU MAN
And that's ONE character
I cannot make this up they called Wednesday a Mary Sue, they called the character that gets told EVERY SINGLE EPISODE EXACTLY HOW MUCH SHE'S FUCKING UP AND PUTTING HERSELF AND OTHERS AROUND HER IN HORRIBLE TROUBLE BECAUSE SHE JUST CAN'T STOP MAKING MISTAKES A MARY SUE I CAN'T DO THIS
AND FOR FUCKS SAKE THEY SAID WYLER IS LIKE THAT ONE BAD HARRY POTTER FANFIC AS IF GOTHIC ROMANCE HASN'T BEEN THE THING ABOUT THE ADDAMS FAMILY SINCE IT'S CREATION AND AS IF THAT FANFIC ISN'T PROBABLY SATIRE OF THE WHOLE BULLSHIT TERF SAGA AND BAD EDGY BOOKS
I guess in times like these I can only laugh
Im sorry I just needed to vent
Edit: I really try to be as nice as possible but this kind of shit drives me nuts
Enid returns from lycanthropy camp carrying more doubts than answers, while Isaac spends his summer buried in werewolf studies in a quiet attempt to help her. But the start of the school year brings a far greater disruption when Wednesday Addams arrives at Nevermore, forcing Tyler Galpin to confront a part of his past he would have preferred stayed buried.
Thank you so much to everyone who continues to follow this story, especially my fellow Isclair Islanders! I honestly never thought I would make it all the way to Chapter 10, and I definitely couldn't have done it without your support and encouragement.
Lately, I've found myself more passionate and invested in this story than ever before. I've been pouring a lot of time, thought, and preparation into it, and somewhere along the way it stopped being just a fun crack ship idea and became a genuine passion project. These characters and this story have come to mean so much to me, and I truly want to see their journey through to the very end.
This story has somehow carved out a very special place in my heart, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to come along for the ride.
A queerplatonic relationship shows characteristics typically associated with romantic relationships, like deep emotional intimacy, prioritization, and connection, while defying a “romantic or platonic” categorization. Queerplatonic partners may engage in physical intimacy, such as hugging, kissing, and holding hands, without it being considered sexual or escalating into sexual activity; however, it is not necessarily required or expected. These relationships often involve someone who is on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum. You can find more information here. Bring this dynamic into a Wyler-centric fanwork, whether they themselves or friends of theirs are in such a relationship.
You can post your fanwork(s) for this event anytime between June 8 and June 30, 2026.

When it comes to your preferences on Tysaac as a ship, what are your favorite dynamics and which character is what? And what do you see as their attachment styles (avoidant etc)?
Like things like:
shows restraint x chaotic menace
Looks like cinnamon roll but will kill you x looks like will kill you but is cinnamon roll
"I am difficult to get along with." x "You're not difficult wdym?"
"I'm a mess, give up on me." vs "I'll take you as you are."
"When my sickness comes, to touch me is revolting." x "Not to me. Not if it's you."
Sorry for the reply time, and first of all, thank you for this question! it made me really happy to receive it ! 💖😊
Under the cut because it ended up being too long (and I probably forgot a lot of things I wanted to say)
And that's very interesting. I think they're both very co-dependent and borderline fusional, especially on Isaac's side. He was clearly in a dual dynamic with his sister, and losing her broke him ("the only person I ever truly loved"), so I see him as clinging to Tyler as his only reason left to live, and being very attached to him.
I see Tyler as globally the same, as he had to live through feeling abandoned (his mother "dying" when he was 4), an emotionally (and physically, a lot of the time) absent father, losing his friends group after he tried to do things right, then having his desire for love and belonging manipulated by Gates… He yearns for love and to be able to trust someone (to me, him leaving with Capri like that at the simple promise of a pack at the end of S2 is a cry for help in that regard). So once he does, he will be very intense about it. And I think he'd be very worried about Isaac possibly manipulating him/keeping him out of important things and betraying him "for his own good" as he did back in Iago Tower.
I do think Tyler would be more open to other people in general, like having friends, while Isaac would consider that having Tyler is enough and he doesn't need more.
I see Isaac as generally being the "leader"/dom of the relationship (and I like him becoming Tyler's master at some point, on Tyler's own decision) but if we're talking nsfw, I like him best to bottom and let Tyler take the reins in intimacy.
I can also see Tyler to be the most caring one, in the sense that he's very sensitive and attuned to other's and their needs. Isaac has a terrible life hygiene in my opinion, and Tyler is often the one to force him to take care of himself or at least let Tyler take care of him. Not that Isaac doesn't take care of Tyler (because he does), but he can sometimes fall into accidentally neglecting him because he's too focused on seeing too far ahead (for example: spending days in his lab trying to work on fixing his lifespan when Tyler just wants to spend time with him, and blowing off "I'm doing this for you!!" when Tyler complain).
I think, ironically, while Tyler absolutely need to be able to trust Isaac, I can see Isaac breaking this trust if he feels it's the right thing to do for Tyler, because he's so desperate to keep him safe (think Wednesday keeping Enid in the dark about her vision for her own good type of reasoning).
Now for the dynamics you mentioned:
show restraint / chaotic menace: I think Tyler would be the first one. In S2, he was the most """""normal""""" out of his family, more tempered and more conscious of social norms, whereas Isaac really doesn't care (it's implied he drove Judi's care around Jericho while very visibly zombified…)
Looks like cinnamon roll but will kill you x looks like will kill you but is cinnamon roll: honestly, I don't think any is secretly a "cinnamon roll", they're both pretty dark xD , but I think Tyler is the one who has more this "cinnamon roll" energy on the surface, but can actually kill you. Meanwhile Isaac… I mean, he does have a soft spot, so if I really have to assign them a role in this it would be the second. Because he is "cold" and "heartless" because get scared of him, but he has that ability to be extremely soft (but it's only reserved for the few people he genuinely cares about)
"I am difficult to get along with." x "You're not difficult wdym?": probably Tyler. Not that Isaac doesn't recognize how sensitive he is, but to him, loving him feels natural. Is there hardship? is Tyler insecure, feisty, and the type to cause arguments all the time? yes, but Isaac doesn't see an issue with that.
"I'm a mess, give up on me." vs "I'll take you as you are." : Tyler vs Isaac. I think Tyler is very self-aware of his insecurities and shortcomings, and while he's afraid of Isaac leaving, sometimes he'd push him away in self-sabotage. But for Isaac, I do think he can accept Tyler wholy. In the show, I always saw his desire to remove Françoise's Hyde and seeing it as a "curse" to have been affected by her own self-hatred and suffering. She wanted a "normie life" (that Isaac didn't understand), and suffered from her Hyde + Isaac knew her Hyde was driving her to an early grave. But now, things would be different. Tyler is still young, and very dead set on keeping his Hyde, so I can see Isaac working on fixing the lifespan issue, but also now accepting Tyler as a whole, with his Hyde.
"When my sickness comes, to touch me is revolting." x "Not to me. Not if it's you." Isaac. I think that, despite being arrogant and having a high opinion of himself, he has moments of doubts. I hc he resented how weak his body was, how it didn't follow with his mind, how he had to be bedbound, etc. Then, when he made his heart, and ppl (in my hc, including his father) treated him like a monster, it stuck. He relied heavily on his own genius for his sense of self-worth, but in moments where it's challenged (like after repeated failure like in canon), there's a point where the pendulum would switch and he'd feel like he's too broken to be of any good to Tyler. In these moments, Tyler would be the one to be his rock.
I hope that answered your question, and that this wasn't too messy ! I have some "core" headcanons and dynamics, and then others that I can see changing or might want to explore differently depending on mood or scenario.
Type one: These two are destined to be together. The universe put them in this place at this time for a reason. They make each other better and happier in every conceivable way and have such good compatibility that them falling for each other feels inevitable
type two: these two actively make each other worse and would probably break up in a week but it’s funny so who cares

not my tweet or my fic (and there’s a good chance of this comment being a bot) but yeah, don’t do this. sure, some writers wouldn’t mind having fanfics (or direct continuation) of their fanfics written by someone else. some may even be thrilled and happy. but the fandom etiquette is that if you want to write a fanfic or a continuation of someone’s fanfic, YOU POLITELY ASK THE WRITER FOR THEIR PERMISSION. not their readers.
also 5 months isn’t long at all. 5 months is 5 minutes when it comes to fanfics. I’ve waited years for my favorite fics to get updated (one of my favorite fanfics was updated by the author after 13 years) and I’ve never said anything to them about “it’s been ___ years, I don’t think it will get updated anymore”. because another fandom / fanfic etiquette is that fanfic writers write for free in their free time, they don’t owe you anything. maybe they will update one day. maybe they won’t. if you want your favorite fic to get updated, you comment something like “this is good!! I’m excited for what happens next” and maybe your positive comment will motivate the author to update. but you don’t say “it’s been ___ months or years”. fanfics writers write for themselves and their own enjoyment. they’re just kind enough to let you read their works for free. stop being rude and entitled to fanfic writers.
