I really needed some comfort things, so I decided to draw my farmer Blake with Alex :]

Stardew and Alex were really influential to my development as a queer person, and I'm glad I have the skills to encapsulate that kind of thing now. I really wanted to go all out with the rendering and facial planes stuff because I wanted to test a more painterly style + it's been forever since I've drawn humans.

So, here is Blake walking Alex to the path back to town, reluctantly letting him go as fireflies surround them :3

It's a really self-indulgent project I'm working on because a lot of the other male farmer fics don't really feel the most relatable to me, so I'm writing a self-insert fic to meet my own needs. I feel like it may resonate with someone else, idk!!

I wanted to represent how the internet affected/affects the development of my sexuality and perception of the body. In the background, I include various symbols that represent hypersexuality, danger, surveillance, and confusion. All that comes together in a dizzying digital landscape that Hua falls through, showing his chaotic relationship and standing with the online world.

I spent 12 hours and 2 mins on this and took 13,874 strokes with so many coloring layers; it was super experimental, but I'm very happy with the result!
