An Easter Lily on the Somme

Before she knew it, she was kissing him. A deep defiant kiss. Irrational, illogical, and everything she’d fought against since she’d met him. She felt his moustache tickle her upper lip and his hands grip her waist tight. The kiss made her heart swell. Her emptiness filled with mischievous euphoria. And for as long as his lips remained pressed against hers, sorrow, pain and anger dissolved into joy.

I commissioned the very talented Anna (mauvaise-reputation) to draw two of my characters (Ivy and Maurice) from an original short story coming out in a published historical anthology this Easter.

A little covid-19 update: in Italy we’re currently hitting the epidemic peak (even if it’s not exactly a peak and it will likely be a plateau) so here’s hoping things will get better in a month or so. 

I wanted to thank all the people who left comments and likes on my vent post, I really can’t say I’m doing better (my sleep schedule was fucked before all this, I will let you imagine its absolute state rn) but I’m slightly more optimistic.

I’ve been trying to keep my cool but things are tragic here in Italy. I keep thinking that it’s gonna end soon, but it just won’t.

I’m lucky enough to live with friends so in this moment we can support each other, even if we all miss our families. Drawing and painting help to keep my mind away from all of this, so I’m extra grateful for that.

EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS PSA - Invoices

Hi everyone! Either Paypal is being an ass or I don’t know how to set up invoices the correct way (it’s been almost 4 years since I’ve done commissions, so I must be missing something).

Basically, when I send an invoice and one pays it, I have to manually set up the order status (even if there’s no physical item to deliver) and the commissioner has to confirm the payment again through mail. 

I can’t select the type of service I’m giving, I can simply choose between Quantity, Hours, and Price. Might try with Hours next time (price will be the same of course).

This is just a warning in case you receive multiple mails from Paypal. If anyone knows what I’m doing wrong please let me know!

▪ If you want me to draw your OC(s), I’ll need reference. The more the better!

▪ If you don’t have suggestions for the pose, I’ll suggest some to you through a WIP, and I’ll start working once we agree on it.

▪ Paypal only, invoice only. I’ll keep you updated and I’ll send you WIPs of the various stages of the piece. Once you give me the final ok, I’ll send you the final piece. Only then I’ll send you an invoice. Please specify in advance if your paypal email account is different from the one you’re using to email me.

▪ Once paid and delivered, the work is yours to do as you please. I don’t like watermarking my things, so the only courtesy I ask you is to be credited.

▪ I’ll draw NSFW!

▪ I won’t draw anthro/mecha/gore/dub-non con/incest or anything that makes me uncomfortable. Same goes for things I feel I’m not skilled enough to draw. If you have doubts, feel free to ask!

▪ For the illustrations: if you need me to, I’ll send you the PSD. Otherwise it will be a PNG (I prefer it as it’s lossless, but I can save it in whichever format you like - JPG, TIFF, etc).

Hi everyone. When I went to bed yesterday night I was already blown away by the support I was receiving, but I was literally reduced to tears once I woke up this morning and I saw how many requests, comments, reblogs and likes my commissions post got. I will never be able to thank you guys enough. 

I’ve never been a prolific poster, and I haven’t been on Tumblr consistently since 2016 and the Dragon Age/Fallout days, so I couldn’t even begin to imagine the kind of support I received last tonight. 

So THANK YOU. Thank you to the old friends that I always see in the notes, thank you to the new followers, thank you to everyone who liked the post and boosted it, thank you to all those who commissioned a piece (or more!), and a special thanks to the people who donated through Ko-fi (please send me an email so I can give something back!). It’s really difficult to put into words how I feel, my heart is exploding.

I’m closing the commissions for now and I’ll probably open them again once I’m finished with the first batch.
