Eight Points (Eight)

Everything has elements of harmony, and everything has elements of chaos. That's how this, and every, universe operates. It stands to reason, then, that there'd be a spirit of chaos in every universe, and this is true. Each is represented by a draconequus. Just as the My Little Pony universe is Discord's home universe, Eight Points is the spirit for the Black Knight (pinball) universe.

Eight is a fun-loving, social, affable fellow, a bit flighty, and somewhat forgetful at times. While he likely won't befriend everyone, it would be pretty hard to not be a friend of Eight's.

His head is a zebra's, with a lion's mane and a forked tongue, one which always hangs out of his mouth. On his chin is a ridiculously long beard, which wraps around his body, ending up well below his arms. His midsection is a green fur, with a grey wolf's arm on his right, and a blue dragon arm on the left. His bottom is a raccoon, with a speckled white rabbit leg on the right and a kangaroo's leg on the left.

He usually wears a couple trademark items, the most obvious of which is usually a sports jersey, preferably one with a player on a team they weren't on for very long. The other one is a necklace with the digit "8" on it. Less often, but still common, to see on Eight are shoes, which he'll poof on when he's about to land on the ground. He'll be too lazy to remove them afterwards, though.

By the way, “Eight Points” is a reference to the symbol of chaos.

I play as Giselle on Twitterponies, and I decided that she needed a training suit. Then I decided that I needed to draw it. After all, third place is okay, but no one wants to stay at third place forever!

The suit comes with secret pockets in which weights can be stored, making it so the wearer needs to exert more effort to fly (or do other exercises). This leads to the wearer being able to move better with the suit of, during competitions for example. There are also weights worn on the tip of each wing, a headband to keep stray feathers out of her eyes, and shoes, because shoes are pretty cool, and protect the paws.

This suit was done by Rarity in the colors of the Griffon Kingdom flag. Giselle didn’t have much input, but did ask for a more understated look, and not as many gems, if any. There are a few on the back, though, but they’re obscured in this picture.

It’s the year of the goat, so here is a friend’s goat faun lady wearing a sash, as well as a crown, tiara, and plant crown. It’s the rules!

Fun fact, Maven Cash was almost named either Maestro Cash or Robert.

If you're wondering where Maven Cash gets his shoes, wonder no more! While he has shopped at the Carousel Boutique a few times, there is a shoe shop that Maven considers his favorite, run by two real good friends.

Heart and Sole, Pegasus Mare

After seeing a classmate fail to run a race, Heart and Sole wondered what's wrong before noticing the classmate's legs were uneven. She decided to help by making a set of shoes for the classmate, who was delighted after finishing well. As the classmate was gushing over the act of selflessness, Heart and Sole's cutie mark, a shoeprint with a heart inside, appeared.

While attending a hoofball match taking place in a downpour, Shoelace noticed that one of his favorite players was about to be substituted in, but with his shoelaces untied, with nopony able to get them to stay tied, due to the wet conditions. Shoelace had never tied a knot before, but he looked at the tied knots, hoping to duplicate the tieing. Not only did the knot hold, but it stayed tied during the rest of the match, so well that the team's staff couldn't get it undone as quickly as they usually do. As the player scored a goal, Shoelace cheered, unaware of the cutie mark that had just showed up on his flank.

Together, they run the Tread Mark shoe store, where Maven may or may not single-hoofedly keep the store afloat.

Happy New Year’s Everyone!  Have a good time and party the night away! It’s been a crazy and eventful year for me, and I’m glad that I could share a bit of that with you guys.  I feel like I’ve really advanced in my drawing skills and I appreciate all the support and encouragement that I get from you guys. Also all the support I get for my projects and the characters within them, namely my Spike Quest and ‘Texnatsu’ characters. Okay time for shout-outs.  Big one to Jadefire for being my co-writer for Texnatsu and lead programmer.  Gladd for organizing the Spike Quest blog and uploading my stuff to other sites.  Ruby for helping me with the deviantart stuff.  All the stream-viewer regulars who’re there on an almost regular basis giving me ideas, keeping me focused, and just being there.  So in no particular order: djstrap, written, noble, suckish, maven, deep, zhane, nightfury, bravery, furley, cooolboy, jazzy, draxton, jayden, scrive, lockheart, corgi, quantax, and crazymatt.  There are other stream viewers and tumblr followers that I want to thank, who unfornately couldn’t make it to the party, but I still thank you for your support and hope that you’ll continue to in the upcoming year.
