My name is Maverick but ya'll can just call me Ricky (he/him). I'm an avatar of the Desolation or whatever those weirdos in London decided to start calling it. Avatar? I'm not fucking blue. Anyway-
I'll mostly just be chatting and chilling on this blog, but don't be surprised if you see some... philosophical or occult ramblings.
[OOC]
Ello ello! Welcome to my TMA oc’s rp blog!
I’m gonna be honest I’ve never done rp before, let alone a rp blog, so bear with me please. I’ll be slowly revealing his lore as time goes by cause why not.
Any questions/asks for me (mod) and not Ricky, just make it known in the ask! Mod uses he/him as well.
Set around S3 - S4 mainly, basically just pre-eyepocalypse lol. Though if you send an ask / rp for a post-eyepocalypse time, that's fine, just say so in brackets or smth!
Interactions:
M!A (Magic Anons) are allowed!
No NSFW
Romantic stuff is fine but I'll tell you now, Ricky won't reciprocate (has/had a wife)
Swearing is okay - as evident by Ricky - just don't go over the top

Noah seemed... distracted, as he walked into the library. His gaze was focused on the ground, and he wore a blank expression on his face. He liked it here of course. It was quiet, and with plenty of tall bookshelfs and tucked-away reading corners, he needed only be quiet himself to avoid being noticed.
That wasn't quite it today, though. Not that he was being loud - he walked silently, like always. Rather, it's because he wasn't there to enjoy the atmosphere. He was certain he'd spotted the shadows again at that park, and just... couldn't. He couldn't let them mess with another part of his life.
Right, left, straight, right again... Ah, there it was. 'Religion, Mythology, and Folklore' on the first shelf, 'History' on the second. A small library like this was unlikely to have what he needed to find, of course, but it was as good a place as any to start. As such, Noah began browsing the shelves, hoping for something to catch his eye.
[Ricky, as per usual, was studying in the library trying to dig through any old records the small building held. Head deep in some obscure folklore book that he had been trying to find for ages, asking libraries around the city where to find it. Of course, it was in a random local library that nobody had heard of.]
[Out the corner of his eye he saw another patron walking into the isle he was reading in. He grumbled under his breath.]
(sigh) of course...
[Still, as per library etiquette, he instinctively moved out of the way, accidentally leaving the book he was taking notes in on the shelf. It blended right in with all the others.]
[Absent-mindedly, Ricky strolled to the next corridor of books to continue reading in peace.]
Noah gave the man a nod as he moved aside, though he didn't really pay them any mind. He tended to get rather into his bubble in moments like these. Shifting his weight slowly, he traced his finger across a handful of volumes. He did pull out one or two of them, but gently placed them back onto the shelf almost immediately, seemingly disinterested in what they might contain.
A few moments later though, Noxie's gaze turned towards a small volume tucked between the library books. Didn't stand out in any way, really, but that was half the reason he paid it any mind in the first place. As he pulled it out though, he realised this one wasn't quite the same as the others.
Unmarked, it was, displaying neither the library label nor the standard information. No author, no blurb. There didn't even seem to be a title? He should've told the staff about it of course, but he didn't like calling attention to such hidden gems. Besides, he was far more interested in uncovering what those pages concealed...
[A few minutes of uninterrupted reading had passed. Satisfied with the first few chapters of the book, knowing it would be a major help on the conditions of the old Millbank prison, Ricky sought out the scanners to check-out the book.]
[Oh, but he'd need to remember the little notes he'd made in his head about each chapter. He wouldn't remember them by the time he got home... now where is that pesky notebook? Gosh, he always left things askew but this was getting out of hand, he'd brought it with him he was sure. Maybe he put it down somewhere?]
(mumbling) God, those eye-freaks are lucky. They can just remember everythin'...
[Gripping the book in one hand he marched through the different aisles that he'd strolled down whilst reading. Nope. No. Nothing. For fu- He eventually stopped at the aisle he first found the book he was reading: 'Religion, Mythology, and Folklore'. Right, it has to be down her- what?]
[A blistering rage swelled inside Ricky's chest. Someone was reading his notebook.]
Noxie had flipped through a few pages at this point. He was certain this wasn't a library volume, but also remained unaware of its rightful owner. Not that he'd been looking for them - he was far too focused on this strange little notebook.
It wasn't incredibly clear to him what it was about... Some words seemed to pop up a few times, but they didn't mean anything to him. 'The fears, 'Smirke', 'Desolation', 'rituals'. It had to be some sort of occult or folkloric research, but just what about...
Noah stopped flipping when he saw the words 'the Magnus Institute'.
"What." He whispered.
He started reading through the page, unaware of the figure now leering at him with an unnatural rage.
[Ricky felt sick to his stomach, or maybe it was just the burning heat he felt surge through his body at the sight. Either way energy was building up in him and he was determined to get it out. Luckily he had a perfect target.]
"Oi!"
[He marched up to the person holding his precious research so willy-nilly, grabbing them by the collar and pulling them backwards so he could see their face. Heat sizzled round his fist, no doubt leaving a scorch mark on the mans clothes. It wasn't his clothes he wanted to damage though, no, it was the pathetic face of the person who was so gracelessly flipping through his hard work.]
[He got right up in the mans face, not ceasing his grip on the fabric.]
"Care to explain what you're doing with that book there, mate?"

[A tall, burly man with tattoos walks up to your desk. He seems a bit uncomfortable being at the institute. He grips the strap of his shoulder bag tighter as he leans down to speak to you in an Australian accent.]
Hello uhm,
You work here at the artifact storage, right? Well, hypothetically, what would happen if someone borrowed an item for - uh - research, but it got slightly… burnt in the process?
- @maverick-mayhem
Yes I do- uh, usually it depends- there might be a fee to pay, and it's likely my superiors won't let you borrow any artifacts again. Which item is it? And how extensive is the damage?
[He opens his satchel and pulls out a small clown doll. Its hair is singed and half of its plastic face has melted, warped by flames. He places the still warm doll on the desk.]
I can pay the fee, no problem. However, I do recommend telling your superiors to do better background checks. Though I have a feeling there won’t be a problem with me returning.
[He looks down at the doll again and crumples his face.]
Huh. This is- well, I'll be frank, this is bad, but it's definitely not the worst I've seen. Although, I do have to ask for some context.. what exactly happened here?
[He cautiously looks around him before straightening himself to speak.]
Some practical research. Simply putting an idea into practice. Didn't go quite as planned, had to resort to some more alternative means of stopping an experiment...
Nevertheless, given that you work here, I'm assuming you have some dealings with the occult? So just letting you know now, I think that doll has something attached to it. The "I do not know you," or whatever you lot call it. Point is, don't stare face to face with it, it might want to steal yours.
[He stares at the doll for a moment longer before looking up and nodding his head. Turning on his heel and walking towards the exit, he calls out.]

"I suppose I need to go to The Institute now unfortunately... I only hope I don't need to pay for a repair fee. They really should do better background checks on those who borrow artefacts for research. Stupid academics."
[He closes the journal and places it down, sighs, and looks to the now mildly charred doll.]
Don't look at me like that.
[He picks it up and stashes it in his satchel, heading to the one place he would rather not be; The Magnus Institute.]
This is a blog created by @catsithkelpie to create an easy way for TMA OC Roleplay blogs (and canon character blogs, but the focus will be on ocs) to find eachother and roleplay.

To submit your blog to the list, just reblog this post via that blog! If you wish to submit an OC info post or other content to be stored in the archive (to be reblogged here and posts on the same character to be linked together), reblog with links to each post.
I may choose not to add your blog if there is no pinned post. It's hard to tell which list to put someone under without a clear statement of whether your blog is an OC or canon. If I accidentally assign you to the wrong list, please comment under this post for reassignment.
Please put a tag or something on your reblog so they don't clump together in my notifications. I'm getting a lot of them. If you don't, I might ignore it. Tumblr UI sucks.
Please make sure you're taggable BEFORE applying.
OC info posts should contain an image and/or physical description, and at least a short bio. If you don't meet these requirements, please revise and try again.
If you fail to follow these rules, your submission will be put on the back burner and possibly not answered at all. There are a LOT more of you than I initially thought.
If you are going to submit a list of blogs in the comments, please at least group them by whether or not they're an OC or canon, and don't add text in between the blog handles. It makes it a lot easier to copy-paste them all!
Oh, and if you want to be removed from a list, let me know!
