Some awesome 50s beach cruisers given to us from a generous friend leaving town. A Schwinn ladies 2-speed and a Shelby Flyer mens.

We got a free new table from our neighbor because it was damaged by a forklift. Some strategically placed cedar rounds made it look like the new table it is. One fantastic brunch coming up in the near future.

I got two free chairs to put in the canyon today.

We finally have some continuity in our house! Two old doors and two new doors with jambs and casing built out of Douglas fir. We also have fir baseboards completed in 2 rooms. Any mismatched color will equalize with time. I've been busy and now it's time to tidy a little for my own sanity before I launch into another room.

My garage has gobs of power now! I was blowing breakers all the time before.

What, what, what?! This amazing little Astrophytum Asterias didn’t have anything resembling buds or blooms yesterday. This morning, it put up two buds and this afternoon they opened into beautiful flowers! I’m so amazed. It happened so quickly.

I pupped, mounted, and made the mounts for some staghorns today. All the mounts were made from driftwood and one yucca stalk.

2017 super bloom in San Diego. This cactus usually makes about 5 blooms a year. This year we are over 100.

Current progress! I'm really excited about this. Next up is drawer pulls that match the rest of the kitchen and the motion activated exhaust fan for the cat litter.
