I am no longer fond of the idea of powerful souls. From the start the idea was basically that anyone could use magic. But I was at the time heavily influenced by traditional fantasy writing. So I came up with significant portions if the population being given special power or influence of the soul. But I rather prefer the more mundane idea of magic. Wherein it is a very worldy thing based on favor or how well you recite your prayers. Something anyone can use with only a small amount of knowledge.

Reincarnation is a lot simpler than I care to admit. Easy to understand really. When you die your soul is still trapped within your body. Family or a loved one, or maybe a couole seeking to bear a child. Will be given the honor of closing your eyes. They will peer into them deeply. And your soul will transfer into a part of theirs. To be later used again when they or their partner gets pregnant. What's left of that power will be what jumpstarts the conception. It's not totally neccesary to do this however. But it does, prolong the loss of souls in the system. I believe I've mentioned damaged souls before. These are souls that for whatever reason were not passed onto another. They were found by the youngest brother, a God who recycles their souls. But as we all know. Recycling is not as effecient as Reusing. It will leave the soul lacking and because of that they have no affinity for internal magic. They will also be left unable to be reincarnated this way a second time. So their only chance to reincarnate will be to gather many loved ones and live a good life.

I have been watching a lot of ESOTERICA and religion for breakfast videos. So my ideas for the magic of this world have been greatly expanded. This however has been one of my ideas that reamains majority unchanged. I like this idea for reincarnation and the maybe falsified scarcity of souls causing a population crisis is an idea central to why I made this world. So it will remain mostly the same excepting revisions or general lore upkeep.

Another post about my favourite world I guess. Let's talk about how souls and how they work.

There are three types of soul within my world. There is the standard it just powers a body then goes back into the cycle of reincarnation after it's done. There are the powerful souls, those given a gift from the brothers. (The brothers are the trio of creator deities in my world.) They would be given great abilities, to create amazing works, to see and understand, or simply fortitude and a tireless will. And finally, the cracked soul. A soul returned to the cycle of reincarnation through unnatural means or without the help of the eyes. These souls are on their last cycle. They have no way to be reincarnated again. They have become too fragile to survive another try.

A world where the eyes are the window to the soul. It's because they have the most direct connection to the mind and the soul powers the mind.

A world where the eyes are powerful, the body can sculpt life, and the organs can fuel even the dead.

So this is a sort of introduction to my favourite world to write about. I don't have a name for it yet. Used to just call it The Eyes. That doesn't work so well now that it's more fleshed out.

There are three main powers in this world. The eyes, The body, and the internal organs. The most common power of this world rests in the eyes. The ability to see the soul and even capture it in certain circumstances. This is a common death rite in fact. When someone passes the closest loved one or someone in town wishing to conceive will look into the eyes of the dead and reuse their soul. The body, as mentioned allows for crafting and even the creation of golems, technology, masterful works of art. The organs refer specifically to the stomach and digestive tract. Fueling people, plants, and even the cycle of life. Maybe not a domain entirely literal in name but still the name applies.

Without these three powers, society would not have been built, recorded, maintained. It is a world of sight within my mind and it always will be no matter how extensive it's lore.

Dunno guess I'm posting here now. Plan to post story stuff when I get the energy.

I like to write and have a handful of my own ideas. But for the most part I just flesh out ideas other people hand me. I have three to four main stories I like to write, one of which is completed I just have to rewrite it cause it's gone. Two are in the same world different times. And the last is a comic idea I work on with my brother.

Think I'll start with worldbuilding and move towards characters.
