An extension to my last post on minimalistic design, but these go a step further and change and simply their logos in some cases. Some of these work, some don’t and it’s gone too minimal to the point of boring, standard and show no personality to the brand.

I decided to extend my app and through the camera lens, have a feature that filtered out the dishes you couldn’t eat due to your allergy. I will develop the design of this further, as it’s still a new idea.

A family friend I was speaking to regarding my most recent ideas for my project gave me a really good insight to a project his mate is working on. Kevin is a surgeon who has plenty of patients having a cardiac arrests. It came up that a lot of these people had bad heart problems long before having this big issue arise and sending them to hospital. He has now created a small business/brand and website that informs people about diets and how to keep and stay healthy.

What I got out of this was really interesting information about another side to people eating out and their diets. He recommends my app approaches the topic of heart and other organs and knowledgable insights to stay and keep a healthy lifestyle! I might incorporate this as an additional feature to one of my bottom tabs of the app...

Branding agency Landor has created new packaging designs across the range of Kellogg’s cereals with the aim of making boxes easier to find on the shelf. The Europe-wide redesign, which will see Corn Flakes, Crunchy Nut, Coco Pops and many more favourites get a cleaner look, is one of the widest in the company’s history.

Absolutely loving Landor’s newest work. I like to keep updated with this agency’s newest projects, I think their concepts are so strong and execution is beautiful. This Kelloggs project also related well to my project reducing information on packing and only having what is necessary.
